This shop was recommended by my son-in-law and his brother who had several small projects completed here and was very pleased. I stopped in and showed him the lift-gate of my 2012 Toyota forerunner. I had been to two local shops in Waterville who recommended removing the tailgate and replacing it with an aftermarket one: cost roughly $1200 after paint. And in both of their opinions the latch could not be salvaged and the lift-gate needed to be replaced . When I stopped in South China, I was told that there was no need to replace the entire liftgate because only the latch was starting to rust and that it could be repaired. I was told it would work like it should. I was skeptical but I had heard excellent reviews and so got an estimate, Of $300-$350 to replace the rust with new metal, reinforce the latch, and paint the area. When I stopped to pick the truck up a week later I was told that he was able to do it with less time and so therefore the cost was only going to be $200. I don’t mind telling you I was quite surprised. It’s now been 18 months and the work is holding up well. No issues or concerns and we have recently purchased a Volkswagen convertible that needs new rocker panels. Even though it’s a 2 1/2 hour drive from our new home, I’m going to be taking it to South China. Excellent business and service is getting to be rare.

Fantastic work and a great person, ended up just needing to repair my fender instead of replacing it and I cannot believe it's the same fender! Saved me some money as well and had my truck back earlier then planned.
