Absolutely disappointed with the service through AAA and Foresthill Tow. I waited about an hour and a half for help with a dead battery, only to be told they wouldn’t come because my truck was at a storage facility—even though I was just there picking up items, had permission from the facility, and the gate was wide open. At the time my truck was blocking several units and I explained that I needed to get to my kids, but the dispatcher refused to help or offer any solution. I even suggested their driver could walk in to replace the battery if access was the issue, but she still said no. After wasting all that time waiting, I called Halls Towing in Auburn. They arrived within the hour with a battery pack and had my truck started within minutes. When you grow up in a small town, you hope businesses operate with a sense of community and willingness to help. Unfortunately, this experience was the opposite.

Bobby changed the name and location of his auto shop after years of ripping people off caught up to him. Before he tucked his tail and rebranded, he had a big reputation for being the worst autoshop in the Sierras - Brown's Automotive. I'll repost my review for him and his son, Dave, below. ****Check with BBB before bringing your vehicle in. Absolute low life operation - both father and son. Brought a car in years ago to which they did nearly two thousand dollars in damage and simultaneously selling me a lemon while working on my original vehicle. A report was filled with the BBB after the son threatened to physically assualt me when I told them I wanted to be reimbursed for the damage they'd caused. ***
