List of Junkyards in Auburn City

  • Advance Auto Parts
    Address:
446 Opelika Rd, Auburn, AL (Zipcode: 36830)

Can't say enough about these guys at the Advance Auto Parts at 446 Opelika Road. We were in Auburn for an appointment and had stopped to kill some time before a meeting. I must have left the switch on and when we got ready to go we had a dead battery. I called this location because I deal with them at my home location regularly and had purchased the battery from them originally. I had no way to get to them so the GM took it upon himself to run over and jump us off. We ran over to the store and they were able to look up the battery purchase date and found it was under warranty then test it to see if it was bad or just ran low. Turns out it was just low and cranked right up again and again. I promptly went inside and purchased a jump starter and some jumper cables to put in the SUV. These guys went above and beyond. After speaking with them I found out that several of the guy's had been there 17 years or more! That's unheard of now days. As a business owner that is always looking for dependable team members, I would suggest doing whatever it takes to keep these folks. They are definitely making Advance Auto Parts look good.

  • Mims Recycling & Salvage
    Address:
    7600 U.s. Hwy, Auburn, AL (Zipcode: 36830)

I don't know what you would consider a lot to choose from but when I asked if they had any Jeep Cherokees I was told they had a lot. And even though I stated that I needed a Cherokee not a Grand Cherokee they still told me they had a lot. Now they don't have any signs up as to what you can pick and not pick. You get told that anything outside of the fence is not to be picked but then they also mean anything underneath the barn is also not to pick. As somebody so rudely came up as I was pulling apart and asked me to put everything back the way I found it because the vehicle that had been there for 4 years was for sale. Just be very specific on what you ask for and apparently remind them that parts can be crossed over from one vehicle to the next. It doesn't have to be exact same model and year. The guy that stopped me was snooty about that as well. I definitely won't be continuing any business here or referring them. But they make plenty of money giving pennies to the dollar on scrap metal so this review won't really matter.
