Address:1950 E Dowling Rd, Anchorage, AK (Zipcode: 99507)Phone:Open hours:Open from 09:00 am to 18:00 pmStatus:ClosedScince looseing my regular mechanic. Came back to a family favorite. Its nice to see they still have the same quality service. I would/will recommend to my freinds for quality service.
Had an entire truck full of aluminum rims I brought from kasilof because they told me 51 cents per lb for aluminum rims. I have a scale at home for Weighing scrap, so before I make the long trip to anchorage I have a good idea of what I'm going to get paid. They did not let me see the weight on their scale which was odd to me, and they started grabbing my rims and weighing them while i was still unloading. I go inside to get my check and they listed my rims as a lower grade aluminum about 20-25 cents less per pound and underweighed me about 350 lbs from what I weighed on my scale at home. I also had a bucket of brass fittings that weighed about 25 lbs that didn't even show up on my receipt and they claimed to never have seen it. It was the first time I went there, and definitely the last. Very unprofessional and don't care about the customer. Instead of fixing the problem they argued with me about why they were right even tho it's not what they said on then phone when I called them before heading there. Shady operations and scummy tactics by the people who operate this joint. They butter you up and make it sound promising, and once they have your scrap, they kick you to the curb. Stay away from this place if your a metal scrapper

Address:5700 Camelot Dr, Anchorage, AK (Zipcode: 99504)Phone:Open hours:Open from 08:00 am to 18:00 pmStatus:ClosedI came in looking for Tacoma parts and you really didn’t have any I needed. I’m still looking for a taillight ,the driver door/wglass and windshield hint hint. What you did have was very helpful staff who went out of their way to try and find what I was looking for. We pulled up pictures on the computer. Made sure I was using the correct name for the parts I needed so I don’t order the wrong ones. Scrolled around at a speed I could keep up with and totally knew the answers to questions I’m sure you get asked all the time. Waited for me to finish asking anyway and then made sure I understood his answer because he really did listen and knew what I was looking for. Thank you and good job. I’ll see you in a couple weeks when you get some windshields in and my broke leg heals just a little more.

Address:720 E Whitney Rd, Anchorage, AK (Zipcode: 99501)Phone:Open hours:ClosedStatus:ClosedI used this facility today for the first time, I got there a little early so I walked to the office, knocked on the door and they let me in. They were in the middle of a morning safety meeting and took the time to answer my questions and help me out. The operators in each area gave me very specific directions on where to go and what to do with my different metals. With their yard being an ever moving and expanding unit there is no real signage, with that they do a really good job of approaching you and making you feel comfortable. Going to a new place can always be intimidating, specially when there is excavators and other large pieces of equipment. I have experienced in other environments like this where the operators were gruff, inpatient, rude, and expected you to know where to go and what to do. Here at ASR I experienced the opposite, everyone was very nice and accommodating to me the newbie. It was very convenient to bring my old trampoline parts and monkey bar parts here for free rather than pay a bunch of money to take it to the dump.

Address:401 W Chipperfield Dr, Anchorage, AK (Zipcode: 99501)Phone:Open hours:Open from 08:00 am to 17:00 pmStatus:ClosedSo far I am very unhappy with the customer service. I have only delete with phone service but I have never delete with such rude and unpleasant people. Never having been through an accident before, I have/had lots of questions and did not understand how "things" work. Well they defiantly do not care to explain anything. I am very unhappy that I have to deal with them.
I called on a Monday to see if they had a part I really need it's been almost a week ago now I called 3 times through out the week and got the same answer we've been busy we'll go look and call you back. Took my name to my number all 3 times and NEVER got a call back from them. Apparently, they don't need business that bad. And there not going to get mine now.
We did show up a little after 4:30 to deliver a pallet of batteries, we are told to go around back. No actual directions given as to what yo do. Some lady comes out demanding id. After unloading pallet from the trailer she then returns my id and says to meet her up front. Not knowing which building she was talking of we guessed to which one she was meaning. She says to sign a receipt and i see the batteries are being paid at .07/lb and decide we are not letting 2k pounds at that rate. They would not allow us to load the batteries back on our trailer because it was too late. They would not pay us for the other materials on the receipt and we had to drive back the next day to get the batteries and deliver them to Alaska Scrap and Recycling on Whitney. Their customer service is much better there and their batteries are bought for .20/pound and aluminum is .22/pound. Where this company is .07 batteries and .10 aluminum. Kate was the scale attendent that night and she has no customer service skills, communication skills or manners.
Not my 1st choice in auto parts store but generally good service.
Here used to be the place to recycle the bits and pieces for the business there at AKA Hauling.
