If you plan to recycle in Anchorage then you'll be here at the WestRock Anchorage Recycling Center often. Located right behind the NAPA Auto Parts building are multiple bins for glass, cardboard, mixed paper, newspaper, tin, aluminum, plastic bags, and plastic containers. For more information on what you can recycle you'll want to read more on the WestRock Anchorage Recycling Center website. Try to park your vehicle close to the containers, but give yourself room to get out. Be aware here, because there is very little space to drive when both sides are full of parked vehicles. If this review was helpful please click the Like button.

Always got the parts I need! When you use their app (Advanced Auto Parts) you get an additional discount. I use Carquest barbone, I always forget theirs still places like Napa and Autozone round which are often the highest prices when your a sticker shopper like me.

This company is so professional and so nice! Sold them my car. Was so pleased.I had called another company previously a few weeks ago just to talking that I was thinking about selling my car. They took my information and said they would call me back but never did. Five days later they showed up early on Saturday morning banging on my door yelling at me through the door, calling me "June"(not my name) announcing to everyone in the complex my business and scaring me to death, then proceeded to call me over and over again. I was alarmed as they had gotten into an secure apartment complex. I didn't answer the door they scared me to death with their yelling and banging. So I called Cash for cars. I was so surprised at the how professional they were. They made an appointment on when to pick up the car and called me from the parking lot and never came into the complex. They were so nice, polite, and pleasant.Service: Vehicle recycling
Overall, great place. Deff. not out of business & helpful staff. Alot of people suggest low balled prices... The material is processed here in anchorage, loaded on a barge & shipped to Washington. Everything is loaded on the barge by a crane. It's not cheap & prices are reflected by the market. If the market goes down, scrap prices go down. Seperate your different commodities to maximize your money. Ask questions before you sell. Make sure you understand what you will be paid for and what you wont be paid for

Unfortunately this is the company responsible for moving salvaged/used vehicles. After several visits here's the lowdown: staff is always rude and are visibly frustrated that you might have questions. They're much happier staring at their computers while uttering basic commands for any questions you might have. *On a side note if you create an account you must religiously login or they will turn off your login ID. You won't be able to bid or inspect vehicles until you re-enroll. You can only look at the vehicles on Monday and Tuesday* But what should a person really expect when buying wrecked junk?

They have wide array of parts if your sled is old. What they do have if its made within last 10 years they want almost price of new part for. Maybe this is why they have junk everywhere. They should be more reasonable pricing wise
Called all over in the am. They were able to get me a tow under an hour. I needed to ride to the destination which was no problem. Josh got me and my truck to it's destination. Josh was very professional at his job. Thank you very much. I will be using them again and advise people to use them too. Service: Car towing

We did show up a little after 4:30 to deliver a pallet of batteries, we are told to go around back. No actual directions given as to what yo do. Some lady comes out demanding id. After unloading pallet from the trailer she then returns my id and says to meet her up front. Not knowing which building she was talking of we guessed to which one she was meaning. She says to sign a receipt and i see the batteries are being paid at .07/lb and decide we are not letting 2k pounds at that rate. They would not allow us to load the batteries back on our trailer because it was too late. They would not pay us for the other materials on the receipt and we had to drive back the next day to get the batteries and deliver them to Alaska Scrap and Recycling on Whitney. Their customer service is much better there and their batteries are bought for .20/pound and aluminum is .22/pound. Where this company is .07 batteries and .10 aluminum. Kate was the scale attendent that night and she has no customer service skills, communication skills or manners.
Not my 1st choice in auto parts store but generally good service.
