This was an overall great experience! From the moment we called to get an estimate on our junk car to the moment it was picked up the team was amazing. We talked to Kyle over the phone and he was very helpful and was able to offer a very reasonable price. Customer care is priority with this company. I had an urgent situation where I lost my receipt from 2 years ago and needed a copy. I called after hours intending to leave a voicemail and the owner answered. He said he does not like to miss his customers calls. I explained my situation and he gave me the name who would contact me assured me they would go above and beyond to help me. This was hands down my best experience with an auto repair shop ever! I was on a road trip coming from Florida and I was having issues with the manual transmission in my 93 Civic leaking oil while passing through Kankakee IL. Having changed the front axles before the trip, it turns out I nicked the oil seal in the transaxle while installing the new axles. Having been on a very tight college kid budget, I couldn't afford much in the way of repairs. I managed to find the one specific part I needed at a local Honda dealership and I called Stevenson Auto to ask if they could simply take my provided part and install it. We were only passing through so we couldn't afford to stay in town very long either. They saw me that same morning that I called and had me in and out in an hour or so and for a very affordable price. They were incredibly friendly and respectful. Having done most of the work myself on my car, they were happy to explain and show everything they did in great detail. They were by far some of the most professional and competent mechanics I've every encountered. My encounter with them was in June of 2016, and since then I've received a thank you note and a Christmas card from them! Thank you Stevenson Auto Repair for being so thoughtful and professional, and thank you for helping us get this little 93 Civic through all 8,000 miles of our American road trip! Couldn't have done it without you!

Nice people but the delivery area is challenging to maneuver. Very tight. Truck entrance is on the side street from main gate. Must scale upon entry. Truck stop less than 2 miles away.

I have to say they have some of the most helpful staff. Making sure we got the most money for what we had. Cause I know squat about what metal is what. They took their time to explain where to take all the different metals. They unloaded everything. The office girl even came out to explain. Thank you to all there for your help.

Went there and scrapped my items recently. Went in office and getleman was rude to me. I asked if i could leave a flyer on what i buy if they get it in. Told him i would pay double scrap rate. He simply said no we dont get that in wont save it for you. I take my scrap to RVR, acme, or belsons based on where im at with scrap material. This Area material is a joke and hope it closes like the previous company that had the yard.
