I've been getting parts at S-G for decades, through a series of old Volvos and not so old Volkswagens. They've always had the parts I've needed in stock except on one occasion I had to wait a day for an older Volvo part. I'm just a shade tree mechanic and appreciated their help and expertise. I learned a lot and saved a ton of money!

I bought a used headlight for a 2007 Chrysler T&C 119” wheel base a couple of weeks ago. It looked pretty foggy (which I was warned of) but decided to take a chance on it and spent the $53. When I received it I had to have a yard guy drill out the bolts that were sheared off upon removal and stuck in the housing. unfortunately after replacing two bulbs at $15 each I decided to buy a brand new headlight online for $70 including both new bulbs and shipping. I spoke with two people about the return policy and 30 day warranty prior to buying the headlight and then another person on the phone before returning. Everything was clear, “Full refund within 30 days”, I even explained the headlight and the circumstances. When my partner arrived at the store to return the headlight within the 30 days he was given the third degree and then told about the actual warranty. Apparently there is a 25% RESTOCKING FEE ON ALL NON-MECHANICAL PARTS. funny because I thought a headlight with wired elements that connect to your car would be considered mechanical, but never the less, even through all my questioning and explaining nothing was ever mentioned to me. I only got back $37 and lost $16 plus headlights purchased on the deal. My main issue is the lack of transparency and the way things were handled. They even gave me a hard time for not having the burnt out bulb in the housing when it was returned. I tried to support a local business but do yourself a favor and skip all this nonsense.
Really great place. They knew right where I might find what I was looking for. It was quite a walk for me, rows 49 and 50 are where I found the two things I needed. The workers I was in contact with where friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They were all of those things while also being efficient. I'd say in plenty less time than two minutes, from when I stepped up to the window, I was handed a printout with four prospective vehicles, including basic information about each and which row they were in, I was out the door and on my way to what I figured to be the best prospect. There was plenty more evidence of excellent customer care around as I made my way around. There sre some items of note that did not bother me, but are probably worth being aware of, if you have never been there before.1. There is a $1.00 fee to enter the hunting grounds.2. If you don't have more protective footwear, they must at least NOT be open-toed.3. There are plenty of wet spots in the lot to navigate in whatever way suits you. If it had been a particularly wet day, I think good boots may have been a necessity.4. You may have a fair amount of walking to do depending on your needs and there locations. I found my second item in row 50, which appeared to be the last row. For me, the walk was a little long through no fault of the business.I wholeheartedly recommend this company based on my one experience with them, which was thoroughly successful and appreciated.
