Back in the day you couldn't beat this place, but the last few times I've gone there they not only directed me to drop material in the wrong area. Then tried to tell me I didn't have what I brought in with me and tried to call me a liar and on top of all that the weight seemed way off and we're under priced like crazy... If you do go, make sure you know exactly what you have how much and always check your ticket to make sure they didn't mark your material and price wrong like they did me ! Used to love this place now nothing but rude attitude from the employees and ripping me off.

Great place for scrapping metal. They don't mess around so don't grief them. But for the stand up crowd, they're stand up people. Savannah runs the "front desk" and is a sweet heart. Test her nicely because she'll remember you. (Plus she cashes you, ticking off the cash out girl is like ticking off the cook. Not smart)

First time scrapper. They were very professional and correctly categorized the metal, weighed it, and paid me promptly. The prices per pound were clearly marked on the board upfront.

I had aluminum cans to be recycled, not sure what to expect after reading the bad reviews but I had a great experience. The woman in the office told me exactly what to do and the guy working the cans was nice and I had no idea what I was doing. The only bad thing I can say is that there are a lot of trucks going in and out so be careful.

The heavy equipment operators are either careless, negligent, or disrespectful. Whatever the case may be, they suck at their job. They dropped a car from 4 feet onto my trailer, took a chunk out of the tire, cracked welds on my trailer, then the equipment operator almost hit my truck with his front loader right before he said it’s not that serious and they’d buy me a new tire. I do not care about an $80 trailer tire. I care that they treated my equipment like it was trash. On top of all this, the yard is tiny and poorly laid out. I’ll never come back here again. I’d rather make the drive to somewhere with a better laid out yard and equipment operators who don’t treat your property like trash.

This is LAST RESORT. Trying to find an employee or where to go almost impossible. third of the scrap hit the floor and wasn’t paid for. They are really good at answering the phone. Let me tell you. They’re also really polite. I’m being sarcastic.

As long as you arrive at least 30 minutes before they close everything's great. They want to go home when it's time for them to, they don't want to stay longer for people who want to show up late. They have great customer service and friendly staff. I believe right now they're paying more for metals and aluminum then anywhere else that I know of

The absolute worst recycling company on the planet they do not know how to take an email receipt or a receipt from eBay motors or anybody else from online. They expect you to print it out and give it to him instead of actually looking at a receipt or emailing a receipt to him do they understand that we're in the 2023 and fax machines are going away. If I was trying to sell any kind of metal copper whatever I would never go to this place!

After looking over some of the reviews I was braced for the worst, whatever that might be, but upon our arrival we were greeted with a smile by a Yard Dispatcher who asked what we had. After telling her I had an pool heater she directed me over to an area which I think she called the 'smalls area'. Again we were greeted by gentleman who was friendly, but extremely busy. He took the time to look over what I had and then proceeded to help me unload it. There was a first time voucher form I had to fill out but the entire transaction took 5, maybe 10 minutes. I had disassembled the entire heater into various sections, which may have made the process go smoother. I was then given a receipt & proceeded to the office where they took my receipt (along with my Driver's License) and processed it. The Cashier knew I was a first timer and again in more than a friendly manner walked me through the remaining process. As busy as they looked to me (and I overheard comments on how busy they were from those around me) it was quite quick & efficient. I would highly recommend 419 Metal-Auto to anyone, even if you're not a veteran scrapper like myself.

Read reviews before going so was kinda expecting to run into the lady with the attitude .we pull up with dump trl full of copper and three different types of metals in trl Seperate .she tells me to just ride it over scale and she'll weigh truck and trl.so we ask how are you going to separate the copper prices from the other three types of metals in trl she looks at me dumfounded and screams well if your going to be like that go elsewhere lol so we did .she going to pay you scrap metal prices for straight copper and aluminum not how this works

Great experience. Just had a little over 70 lbs of metal that I didn't want going into a landfill. Seems like an efficient operation andas an Environmental Science teacher it was interesting looking at what is brought there and finding out where it goes.

This was my 1st time there today. I had no idea what to do or how to do it. Woman at the scale was very nice and talked me through what to do. I read complaints about rudeness, that was NOT my experience at all. I would definitely go there again.

There are tons and tons of recycleable materials here it's mind blowing. This is definitely a place u have to take ur hat off to bcus I wouldn't want to have to do what they do. It's definitely an underappreciated business, you have to see it to understand the scope of what this place is. Thank you to those who work here, we appreciate you.

I'm giving it 5 stars because of the guys at the scales the other ppl are rude but you only deal with them for a short time while they process your info and pay you. But besides them it's a great place.

I give this place 1 star because of how rude the scale person that wears the hat always is she told us that they dont take safes but the claw machine took it off of our trailer she came out of her way to cone yell at us and told the claw guy not to help us and to destroy the safe and put it on our trailer without our permission she always has a adittude she comes to work dress inappropriately she leans on your car and opens your door without your permission overall just a rude person

Make total sure what metal you are scraping and make them look at it and tell u what price you will receive for this exact metal !! They will quote you one price over the phone and not pay that price after they unload your scrap . If you complain they tell you that you can except the price or load it back up and go away

I called them to ask what is required to recycle a refrigerator at their recycling center, and the person I talked to was so rude that I will avoid ever taking metal to them again. I recommend to avoid this place. Anytime I have taken metal there to recycle, they were not very friendly.
