Prices are a little high for some things, but great deals on others. Always ask about the price of something before you assume. And the whole core charge deal is ridiculous. They should definitely git rid of that scam! Also always wear gloves here! You never know what is inside these cars!! LOL

I would like to start out by saying i own a car lot and am here probably ever other week getting something for one of the cars on my lot. So I went here today to return a part that I bought and bought the warranty also knowing there was a chance I would not need the part. Took it there and they said they couldn't return it because the mark wasn't large enough even though when they put the black light on it it was iridescent so they knew they made the mark(p,S I measured it when I got home it was 1 1/2 inches long and took a picture because I wanted to post it here so everyone could see it along with the receipt. Any way there are lots of junk yards in the area I would choose one that honors their policies which obviously this one does not.

Stay away from here This place is scam I bought a part and the part was in good working condition but the part was not the issue! so when I tried to return it they said I did not buy it with warranty and I can not return the item! Even though I asked the guy if this doesn’t it work I can return it? he said YES! This is the game they play! I’d stay away from the and go with different salvage yard that is honest and work with customers not this scam.
- ggene wright
They tell you were the vehicles are that may have the parts that you need. They give you a list of the vehicles, and the location in the lot. Makes it much easier to find your parts.

Took a couple wire connectors to see if they would match to a different series bmw. Check in person checked my bags they were right on top. Upon paying for the parts I purchased they said they would need to take MY parts or charge me for them. The connectors I brought in.. had to pay for my own items that I brought with. What a rip off. Also the car labeled as black was blue. So you guys should really try harder. The check out girl was rude. I won't be back.

Save your time, used to be a reputable place. Not any more. 1st they don't honor the prices on their website or how the part is supposed to be sold. When you search a part to find the price and in that search you have to check a box if it includes an electric motor or not which you do and are given a price for said part it should be honored. Especially when the repair manual states specifically not to split the upper and lower halves of the part for safety reasons. When I bought it staff argued with me until I finally just split it and of course it won't go back together. Took part back with screenshots from website and repair manual only to be told by the manager or whoever he was (he never introduced himself) that it doesn't matter what the website or repair manual says and then just walks off without a resolution. I fortunately learned my lesson the last time when they wouldn't take back their defective parts the next day because I didn't pay for the warranty and paid for it this time so I did get my money back but am now days behind on a customer's car and about to be at least another 3 to 5 days to have the correct part shipped from someone else. Never again will I go here after 20 years and thousands of dollars spent at this facility.

In my opinion theyre way overpriced and u still have to remove the part, this use to be a good place to go until they kept changing it around and increasing prices. as others have stated u can buy brand new for the same or go elsewhere and have it pulled for u and not have to pay a stupid 90 day guarantee either. how about a website that can guarantee the prices are what they say when u go in for a parts. Sadly other local yards charge the same and still give u 30 days but if u don't buy one here I was told that if u buy a bad part it's your problem if u didn't purchase a guarantee. This is a terrible buisness model, nothing worst than waisting half a day pulling parts that u may not be able to afford just to take it home and have it be bad then to make it worst u can't even exchange it for a good one because u tried to save a buck and couldn't afford a warranty. U tell me again how much u care about the customers,

Hidden illegal fees and charges, Hella expensive, huge time wasting. DO NOT JUNK YOUR CAR AT THIS PLACE AND OTHER LOCATIONS.
- TThe Infinite Anomaly
It's luck of the draw if they have smaller part you might need but well worth the few bucks to get in to check! They even had Mystery Machine there! Leave it to Scoob to destroy a perfectly good van!
- JJoseph Erber
Way over priced, they wanted to charge 400% over what their website priced the part at, false advertising just to get you in the door. So after wasting my afternoon pulling the part, and the fuel money to drive all the way out there, I left the part there cause I can buy a brand new part for the same price they wanted. I don't care if they want to charge unreasonable prices, but don't advertise false prices on the website.
- AAshley Wilson
parts prices use to be a good deal. for what they want on parts you can order online brand new for a few bucks more or cheaper. do yourself a favor and dont go here.

Update 01/01/2025: The yard now has absolutely no organization. Chevy, Fords, Chryslers, minivans SUVs, foreign, they are all mixed together and the aisles are full of of junk laying on the ground. So if you would like to waste an entire day and break an ankle in the process, this is your place. I will not be going back ever. The staff now is as bad as autozone guys, "whats the year make and model?" we'll print out blah blah.
- KKyle Greaves
Good luck calling. You are greeted with an Indian call center and people who can't comprehend English.

What I hated most about my experience was they acted like it's their first day in business. Absolutely no order, someone was waiting about 20 minutes that I saw to check out and the only available employee was processing someone who just got in and 4 other customers that just got in. Also about their policy, seems like if an item fits in 2 categories they charge the higher price, for example: I wanted to buy an engine cover that's a foot long plastic molding. Their engine covers are $20 and plastic molding are $8. I didn't like the fact that they refused to charge me the molding price and said I'd have to pay the engine cover price. I think it would've been fair to charge me $8 because these type of covers are $14 new and they're just a piece of plastic molding. I didn't expect that from an American business. Probably will never go there again. I'll have to say, I did have got luck before with them, finding some brand new parts. I think they should come up with a better pricing policy.

This place is dog water. The prices there are crazy and then they say environmental charges and fees PLUS admission?? ..if I wanted to pay that much I could order from the dealer...pay the same amount for brand new and I don't have to pull them out myself. Here's a list of a few things I wanted from here and what they cost brand new. $7 each for Honda center caps. (They're $18 for a new set of 4) $14 each for hood struts (I needed 2) (they're $20 for a brand new pair) $15 for a cupholder insert?? $75 + a core charge on a used battery from farm and fleet that costs 109.99 brand new. WHAT?? Don't waste your time here. giving one star because the place exists and has cars there.

Tried to get someone on the phone to check vehicle mileage (was not on website) because it’s a 30+ min drive for us and would be a waste of gas and $ admission to go and check ourselves. Was hung up on once and when finally got a representative on the phone, was told this is the “wrong” line for the question and then the line went radio silent. Incredibly horrendous and lazy service. I am incredibly disappointed as I usually had ok experiences in person. Edit: if your phone system is going to prompt customers to go to your website instead of actually helping your customers, at LEAST have all the information on the website.

I Used to love this place a lot, now on top of the high prices, they give a 3 month warranty, but THEY CHARGED FOR IT without even ask! they she don't want to give me a refund but they finally did it (30 minutes later) after I told her that she never asked if i want it, and there's no notice posted of the NOT FREE 3 month warranty!! It is posted the warranty but they not mention the customer has to PAY for it, I guess is a good thing for a engine or transmission but not for wall art! Any other retailers places like Menards, best buy, Lowes always ask if you interested in some protection and the cost at the checkout Tricky business!
- HHenry C
Overall, this place is OK aside from their pricing - Good layout and pretty big selection. They have increased all the prices tremendously, far exceeding general inflation. They tack on their warranty that makes used parts cost MORE than new, even new parts with warranty are less than this place. They will nickle and dime you for EVERYTHING then act offended that you don't want the warranty, it's all a joke LOL.

LKQ Rockford IL branch is garbage. Went there today to pick up a tail light assembly I can purchase on Amazon for $56. Find the part pull it take it up to the register to find out they want $68 for it because it’s an LED. I said I can buy a new for $56 bucks, and lady says don’t buy it then and puts the part out it on the other side of the counter walks away and starts helping another customer. No problem I’m not gonna pay more for a salvage part than I would a brand new one. Went to 3B’s about 15 minutes away in Davis Junction $37. I will be taking my salvage needs to 3Bs.

I used to love this place, but they've been getting worse and worse. I've been coming here a long time, and was used to the handy 30-day warranty included in the price of parts, but recently, they completely gutted that, and replaced it with a 90-day warranty THAT YOU PAY EXTRA FOR. You can opt out, but they don't tell you this (maybe they might mumble it, but you still can't hear because they go through it quick.) So I had to go back in and ask why the parts I bought were so expensive. Well a $60 costs an extra $20 for the warranty. That's 33% or 1/3 of the price for the part itself. Whatever, anti-consumer practices, it was only a matter of time before a corporate giant like LKQ would end up there, but the lady at the front desk sent me to the back of the line, saying it's my fault for not noticing or hearing correctly, and she pointed at the tiny half-torn-up sign on the wall that disclaims the new warranty policy. Moral of the story, be careful buying parts here. You're automatically opted-in to this expensive ""Warranty"" and you have to make it clear you don't want it. Oh, and she also told the guy in front of me he has to press the bushings out of a rusty subframe, or else she has to charm him for them. REALLY?? They don't even have a shop-press onsite. How are you going to force a guy to use an industrial tool he doesn't have to remove the extra part he doesn't want?
- JJack Reston
If you like paying MORE for used parts than New ones, head over to LKQ ROCKFORD!! THEY WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO CHARGE YOU EVERY FEE AND WARRANTY UNDER THE SUN FOR YOU EFFORT. This place used to be affordable, but now they dont even have any sales days like holiday weekends. Just buy online somewhere else and get parts delivered to your door. You won't even have to pay $3.00 to get in. Also, Employees are extremely RUDE. SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED DOLLARS SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!
- mmusic swap
Looked up the price for the part I needed before I took the hour and 15 minutes drive. Online said $28. I get to the counter and was charged $103 after the core and this new 90 day warranty….

They have had the part I was looking for when I gone there. The reason for 2 stars is because they are pretty organized but it's a few things that I think people should know before hand. 1st they charge you 3 dollars to enter the yard. 2nd they automatically apply a extended warranty (why do I need a warranty on a housing? If it was broken then I wouldn't buy it). For example I bought a brake light housing for 24.99 the extended warranty was 7.50 the environmental fee was 2.11 the tax was 2.37 so my total was 36.97 wait I forgot my 3 dollar entry fee my total was 39.97. Honestly I could have gotten it new off line for that price. If I would have know all the fees beforehand I would have ordered off line. I guess if it's a part you need right away cool but honestly I'm sure I could have gotten that part from another salvage yard around the city for cheaper and wouldn't have had to take it off myself. Just fyi

Place is a scam, I didnt want warranty for two pieces of floor carpet and the guy tells me he's gonna charge me more since I didn't want warranty. Why would I need warranty on some carpet and why would you charge me more for not wanting it? Seems like they get to pocket the warranty money or something that's why they get so mad. Not the first time they get mad when I tell them to take off the warranty they also got angry when I didn't want it when buying a seat the wasn't even electric just a basic seat
- CChris Abramowicz
I've come here several times over the years and always had decent luck getting the parts ive needed at a fraction of the cost of new. The people are friendly, admission is reasonable and gets you in all day as needed. The parts yard is organized somewhat well. Overall happy and will keep coming back.
- TTodd Applegate
This place used to be straightforward with their prices but now have a new "system" that they say they have to adhere to that essentially makes it feel like you're paying three times for the same part. Add onto this where they now automatically add an "extended warranty" charge onto the price of each part WITHOUT ASKING BEFOREHAND. This is not only a bad business practice but just straight dirty since the price list on the website says the price is one thing then *BAM* you get stung by the total after you pay and get the receipt. If you absolutely have to come here, make sure you tell them before you pay where they can stick their "extended warranty" charges.
- GGiovanny Altamirano
They wanted 130$ for the tire and rim set, that I went, pulled and brought to the front. And now they charge a " guarantee fee" to be able to return.
- EEl Marko
Customer service was excellent and assistance for parts cross ref was offered, I did not need help. Because there was a specific car in the lot and it was just placed I got a bunch of interior pieces like visor, door cards, in great shape. Was after a vacuum tree and actuators they work! 5 stars for this visit. Many times I will look at a car and it is trashed even though the pictures look ok . Also I use a small local yard that tells whether engines and trans are bad. Wish lkq did the same.
- EEagle Eye
If you are looking for used parts for your car this is one of the best places to get it. Easy to get in pay 3 $ and go get your part for your car yourself. Great costumer service. I definitely will go back again.
