Liars! Never go here! I waited for a car that was supposed to be available and got there at opening that day. I walked straight back to the car and it was picked clean. I drove an hour to get there. Obviously they are letting other people get access to pick these vehicles before they are available. Wasted half my day getting to this place. Never again!

This place has changed for the worse. They buy cars dirt cheap and Part them at a huge profit. I find it better to buy new parts than to waste your time and energy pulling parts only to find out their parts will sell almost at retail price. The staff is incredibly rude. The guard at the gate acts like he owns the junk yard. I don't recommend anyone go to this place unless it's an absolute emergency and you can't find parts online.

I don’t understand why they say on their website that they offer free car removal services when you sell them your old car but they don’t. I had a junk car sitting in my yard for a few years, and I figured that it was time to get rid of it and I heard of them. I went on their website got a quote and everything, and the only reason why I went with them was because the website states that when you sell the car to them they will provide FREE car removal services, but when I called to finish my quote they said that no I have to pay almost $200 to get my car picked up! If you state that you offer free car removal on your website but you don’t then don’t say that you do! The customer service person I was speaking to wasn’t too friendly either questioning me if I was reading the right website or calling the right company when the number I called was the number from the website! I’ll submit the picture I took from THIER website supporting my frustrations.

Update: the admission has more than doubled, now $5 to get in. Parts prices seemed to have tripled. All locations go by the same pricing index. Other location wanted to charge me $456 for a cracked bumper cover. Extra for license plate holder. Extra for 1 busted fog light & extra for the 18 inch foam insert. This place is busy on the weekends. They have a large volume of cars and trucks. Also they have a extra section inside. Listed as PRIMO AUTO. It's another lot inside and you gave to pay an extra $2 to get in there on top of the $3 you pay to enter. It's a roll of the dice if your parts are still on the car when you get there. At times they will be stripped to the bone. Also many people will damage and cut things up just to get their simple part. For example let's rip the seats out and break the windshield to get the cigarette lighter. Don't forget to cut the wiring harness. They offer a 90 day warranty program. Bring it back if it does not work or fit. If you do not want to pay extra for the 90 day warranty. You better tell them first because they will automatically charge you for it. They have wheel barrels available if you need to move big items. Also have engine hoist for pulling motors. Porto potties out on the yard. No more give your phone number and get points for discounts. Parking lot is big. They have food truck and others selling stuff in the parking lot. Also out front on the street.

Please do not use this business; they are not honest! I was involved in a car accident. A lady flew through a red light and struck me. My car was deemed a total loss so I called several salvage yards for quotes. I made sure to disclose all the damage. I even asked the phone representative before confirming pick up if the offer price might change when the tow person comes to pick up and she said no, that she specifically made note of all damages. When the tow truck arrived to pick up my car, the guy made a phone call and then told me the price had changed, of course less than what was quoted over the phone. I declined and said no thanks since I had another offer for the same amount. Unfortunately, I didn't double-check the amount on the check, I assumed since he stayed and started loading the car that he wrote the check for the original agreed upon amount. It was my mistake, but I won't be using their services again and I do not recommend them!

Where do I start? They are liars and cheaters. Worst experience ever. If you value your time and money, do not go here! They said they have the car I was looking for when they didn't. Old and none updated syste. They lite to people to get them in so they can charge a cover fee. They tell you the place it's should be, but every car is out of the spot and not marked. After 1 hour of looking for a car that doesn't exist. On my way out, they stopped and took my personal part I had brought to match the item. They told me after the fact I could t bring my own part, never checked my me either. They don't even have it communication on the entry ticket stating that. See attached photo. I paid for my own part to walking out of there. Ontop of all that, everyone i talked to smelled like weed and alcohol off their breath. The so-called MANAGER laid was the worst. Breath smelled like beer, and she wouldn't even want to hear me out. Even when its their fault. No wonder this place is a dump and rip people off to stay in business. There are many more parts places for much less money around the corner.

I have been to this place several times, but after today, I will NEVER set foot there again, and here's why: 1) The prices are absurdly high. 2) The cashiers are either incompetent or outright dishonest, ringing items up incorrectly and forcing you to pay extra for 2-3 items before you can leave. Today was the last straw. My hands were full of miscounted parts, so I left my tool cart to pay an extra $100 for three items they missed. When I returned, I found that someone digging through my belongings! I was told it was a security guard. When I confronted him, he admitted to searching my bags and taking two of my foldable wheel chocks! This guard had NO valid reason for going through my property when I was away, especially after I had already shown my bags to another employee for inspection. The most infuriating part? He had a body camera on, meaning this violation is somehow considered acceptable here! I demanded to speak to the supervisor. A blonde woman in her 50s had the audacity to tell me it was my fault for leaving my bag unattended and that they take no responsibility for security rummaging through customers’ tool bags and tool boxes. So, it’s normal for them to violate your privacy and security! Bravo! But it doesn’t end there. When I got home, I realized several DeWalt batteries were missing, and I was overcharged by $40 with an item on my receipt that I never bought. This place is a disgrace. Stay away if you don’t want your money stolen, your property violated, and your patience pushed to the absolute limit.

I guess it really depends on the car, but I took off and brought up a head from a 91 Honda civic. It was almost $500. For a 34 year old used head? Come on. I just left it. I called around and got one from a local junkyard, already pulled off the car mind you, for $200. I could of got one shipped to me from a junkyard that sells on eBay for $250. Why to I want to pull off the part in 100 degree weather for twice the price?

Today my husband and I went and the security acts like a manager he is is so arrogant and mean. Instead of saying hello is right to the point check bag and he look like no tomorrow he took my husband lighter and check my purse while on the process a customer ask for a price for his car and he wanted to help ( wore glasses about 1:30 to 2pm ) and said let me check and he ask the other guy and he was going to respond but the security was we don’t give prices at gate you can’t give prices mind you all Bussines should not hide prices they should say a approximate price but the two works seemed bother not being able to help the customer ( why the rudeness) after we pay 10 for entry ( why not 5 per couple I don’t get parts just there for giving water and hand tools ) we carry on found my part and found a steering wheel cover super cute and found a napkin holder I took it and found door handle we got price was ok 25 for everything but napkin holder they said gate will give cash price went and the security check bags. Again the other guy check receipt and look so pressure like it felt he was not happy to work with that security guy the security ask for me to take my jacket off and said to turn around look at my butt was like what the hell he did not ask the same for my husband I was like what he is like turn around I did it since I did not want problems I ask price for napkin holder (steering wheel cover was 4 ) I thought it be 3 dollars since not a car part the security said 5 dollars ( seen it at Ross for 7 dollars) I said no thanks security was like you want it for free ? I was yes he was no everything non car related is 5 I was I thought it be less and he giggle and was like nooooo this security has many negative comments I wonder if Bussines saw decrease sales and people ? Why no one seems to care ? I wonder if workers complain about him ? And why permit a security ask woman to turn around when my pants had no pockets ? I will call corporate and email them because I took this as HARASSMENT . And yes the negative comments all true( security was same from 2pm till we left 4:45 African American mid 20 to 35) and if workers read this speak up at the end of the day it can only bring change .
- AAlex Rodriguez (Alexstarfox64)
You would think they will have more open windows if they know the weekend is more busier than usual They increased their admission fee from 3$ to 5$ not like they are 2x their prices on parts this was the place to go for easy oem parts but it’s starting to feel eBay or FB market place is less of a hassle nowadays. You can tell they are getting more greedy
- LLaura Lopez
Worst place ever! The workers and security are the super unprofessional disgusting attitudes with consumers. This is an awful place to go to never again. When I asked for the number to make a complain they didn’t provide me with it. This is the worst experience ever. They need working skills the owner needs give his employees working skills classes. Specially the security guard he was the worst of all. I will be calling corporate office to file a complaint.
- JJosh Joshi
Prices no longer reflect the products. It is no longer cheaper to pick your own parts. Rather order after market or used online. A used product that may or may not work, that you pick out with your own labor, shouldn't be 70% of new oem price
- IIan Taylor
Beware all the parts you pull off these cars you can buy online for way less. I took my friend here today to get him a bumper off a 2001 Lexus RX300 they wanted $168 for it. We found it online for $120 "NEW"! So basically they get idiots like us to take the parts off the cars give us a ridiculous high price and if you don't want it they just sell all the parts we scavenged for them online themselves. I just went to their website and saw the exact bumper we took off for sale. Crooks! Now you know. Avoid this place it's a scam 100%. Oh and I hope you like to go swimming for parts half of the parking lot is underwater half the year. Lol
- RRegina
A great place to scavenge parts. Well organized and inventory is accurate and promptly updated on their website. Chem toilets are clean and hand washing stations well stocked. Paved yard is much nicer than other similar businesses. Even their taco truck (CASH ONLY) had good food at a decent price.

Ok so I love the thought of pick a part and I have them on my phone so I get notifications when they have a car in there yard I might be interested in. With that being said I got notifications on a datsun in there yard and so I went down there. 1.5 hrs away but because datsun parts are hard to come by I decided to go. 3.00 to get in ...not happy about it but okay. They after 3 hrs of working on pulling off parts I go to the cashier and they over charged me and there was a security guard behind me that had a 2 way radio he was talking to the lady behind the glass. They spoke a language I didn't understand and I was very tired and it was hot and I am not use to being in the sun for this long so I just wanted to get out of there. So I get charged for things I didn't get and when i was going out they checked my cart and saw that they charged me for parts and hoses that were cut and at the end of the day i was too tired to fight about it or to go back to the lady behind the glass that i couldn't hear and they taxes on the 3.00 to get in. That's not right. I wish I could have got to this vehicle before it went to puck a part as I paid more for the parts that I took then they paid for the whole car...sad days. Very sad days

Great experience! I damaged my passenger door and mirror on my 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee from off roading and found a replacement online here at the Sun Valley Pick Your Part. I drove an hour away hoping the parts were still there and the pictures online were exactly the same as in person. The staff at the entrance were very friendly and helpful. They gave me a map on where the car was located. While walking through the yard, I noticed that the yard was very organized. I asked for assistance to remove the door and the staff at the front immediately found a technician and he immediately went to work. He said it would take approximately 30 minutes, so I waited in my car. I came back and the door was ready on a wheel barrow, ready for me to load onto my truck. It was a great experience and great to work with a staff that made picking up my part effortless. Thank you again for your help. I didn't have any experience removing doors, so I was greatly appreciative for the help. Thanks again, 😀👍

workers LKQ Sun Valley California order the towing of customers' cars for non-existent reasons while you buy parts from their junkyard. Get ready to pay for returning the car after paying for the parts. I have a photo of a parking space where can see the absence of any markings, which makes the evacuation illegal. while I bought $170 worth of parts, I received another $485 check for towing, lost time, and ruined day off.

These people steal your money and they never got anything good parts way to expensive tires if u trying to buy tires just go to the tire shop
- ffrank johnson
They’re swindlers and hustler and they don’t know anything about cars. I wanted to buy a clock for my 93 325i and they wanted to charge it as a temp control because it has the word temp on it, even though the word clock is also on it and its primary function is a clock. The temp button only displays the outside temp. Doesn’t control the outside temp. Insane and when I told the manager the issue she told me they can charge it as both. I get they make the rules but god they don’t have to be so awful. Two stars because it is a parts yard they do have parts but god you might as well not pay for them.
- TT C
Just a heads up expensive unnecessary warranty charge, luckily this is my second time coming to a LKQ Pick Your Parts, I remembered from last time they charged ridiculous warranty without saying anything for each part and it adds up. Good thing I remembered, warranty not worth it. Other than that, I like they offer customers an online account where I was able to add different cars to my "garage" and get alerts immediately once any are in one of their yards, that's pretty cool.

I love hunting for treasure and all the little parts I'm missing at this place, anybody know of they still have sales on tires here Mondays?
- MMarco Gonzalez
Sad that under new Management, this place has lost its touch. It's a shame that their personnel are such A Holes. Especially at the exit, as one of their employees has a power Trip and makes you feel like a criminal. Coming here for many years I wanted to teach my girls how to do things on their own. But I'll definitely be going elsewhere...SMH
- DDillon Hurt
You can purchase parts for cheaper on eBay and have it shipped to you rather than drive here for a broken sun rotten part that's way overpriced. I used to come here all the time for parts now it's way overpriced for any little item. Waste of time.

WARNING.. ACTIVE KAREN ZONE ⚠️ WITH HIGH HORSE EGO MANAGEMENT… PROCEED WITH CAUTION.. Brought a toe link / drag link to the cashier who insisted it was a lower control arm. “sorry we only have control arm in out system, no toe links, drag links, etc” OBVIOUSLY you wont have EVERY part in the system… BUT! theres a HUGE BAIT AND SWITCH problem with this sleazy, snakey 🐍 tactic. Let me explain. They dont have the part you spent potentially HOURS in the BLISTERING SUN grabbing, so they’ll just charge it as something else. in my case a 15$ brand new part was costing me 55$ out the door. I asked, plea’d and tried to explain to management why they always do this.. its DECEPTIVE and a clear BAIT AND SWITCH: list parts for X prices online, but when you get there its actually some other part for a higher price. BAIT AND SWITCH. THE BEST PART.. ONE TIME THEY EVEN TRIED PULLING A PART UP ON EBAY TO CHARGE ME MORE SHOWING ME EBAY PRICES WERE HIGH.. LOL!! IMAGINE I TRIED DOING THAT TO THEM , SHOWING THEM THEIR 55$ CONTROL ARM WAS IN FACT A $15 LINK ON EBAY……. AGAIN, BAIT AND SWITCH TO THE MAX! but let me continue, KAREN manager kept cutting me off, and mind you i was extremely calm and professional… i let her yell at me…, but by the 3rd or 4th time she kept yelling and cutting me off i finally yelled back and started cutting her off and she did not like it one bit 🤣 She started raising her voice and screaming at me like I was a criminal, mind you ive spent THOUSANDS OVER THE PAST YEARS here. Really? THATS how you treat customers? You cut them off, yell, bicker, scream in their face because ‘you already knew what i was going to say?’ Are you a mind reader? The lack of professionalism is appalling. The sleazy snakey tactics are a joke. Trying to nickle and dime for every part.. Feels like they are the criminals to me 💀 Management and security both need to be checked ASAP or fired at the minimum. Also security had an awesome reply to me “I would never talk over a lady” What a JOKE of a response. you sound like a beta letting someone potentially talk over you and treat you a certain way and my guy, this is america, STAND FOR EQUALITY. I dont care if you are purple brown blue black yellow, you show DISRESPECT.. you get DISRESPECT. its simple, but Dude was acting like i punched a woman- trying to guilt trip me and treat me like i was in the wrong for not letting someone talk over and yell at me💀💀 Mind you- KAREN just got a taste of her own medicine, why you so upset about that? 😅 The best part is ill be expecting a generic reply “we appreciate your feedback and will share it internally” how about a message from the manager who felt the need to scream in my face. At least give me a generic message from SOMEONE that i can call and talk to.
- JJuan Garcia
Why do they charge almost double when they raise the entrance..? It's a little bit frustrated when you have to fill up orders from some customers, and this guy's doesn't even update their inventory, I waste 3 hours trying to get at least 1 thing on my list, and I totally lost time. Other than that, the crew is very nice, the place is clean compared with other places.

Lot’s of cars and trucks and parts bring your tools and pull the parts you need, late model cars , engines , transmissions, fenders, bumpers, seats, wheels, got customer service
- MMichael P. Kellet
I needed to repair or replace one of the two cylinder heads on my vehicle. I searched and located the engine and disassembled half the motor to get to the part that I needed. When I went to go pay for it originally it was $99.00 plus tax and environmental fees and other additional costs ,came to a total of $130.00. I was $20 short so I went and hid the part to come back a few days later to buy it. When I took the part up to the window to purchase the cylinder head with no camshafts or additional parts on it, they told me $420.00 !! And that wasn't including the environmental fees, tax and other additional charges!! Needless to say I didn't buy the cylinder head but instead went online to eBay and purchased a complete cylinder head with valves and camshafts completely cleaned, torqued to the right specs, and compression tested with free shipping included for a total of $140.00 It seems like LKQ pick your part is beginning to monopolize the used auto parts market and price gouge their inventory. For this product review and overall shopping experience , I give it a rating of * 1 out of 5 stars *.

🤢The worst customer service ever has I don't know if the owner of this business cares about this but especially the 2 girls who work there make me take the decision that it was my first and last time there.
- ddavid chavez
BUYER BEWARE .. VERY bad management and some bad cashiers .recently was charged for a car ecu on accident and wasn't able to return it because I didnt buy a warranty.. the item was a seatbelt not a computer ! .. they said there system would not allow them to refund the part !! I was overcharged 100 dollars n this is not the only time they have rung me up incorrectly or charged for parts I did not want to buy .. CUSTOMER BEWARE
- SSFV818
Price is now 5 bucks to get in and there prices really increased dramatically and be sure to ask for no guarantee if you dont want warranty that is! They wont tell you and automatically charge you an extra 5 something for a 90 day return. Depending on what it is it's worth it but regardless it's worth mentioning does not everyone reads the signs , or whats posted online. And thiers always a long tine they need 1 or 2 more people working for check out and it will help alot. Also i I thought it was Pick Your Parts I went to go get a gauge cluster but I only needed the clear plastic part and they didn't let me buy it I had to buy the whole thing which was over $100 so I spent over an hour taking it out for nothing which I don't understand it's Pick Your Parts I picked that item and I don't understand why they couldn't sell it to me just that peace sucks! Now for a fact that part will never be sold cus it's left in the front and no 1s gunna take the time 2 see were that came from so makes no sense whats the point just sell me the dam part so thats why im leaving 2 stars
