What the heck? It’s crazy how rude, (who I am assuming is the owner) was over the phone. This guy must have a volt with gold coins that he dives into every night like Uncle Scrooge, because he couldn’t have cared less if I gave him my business or not. I call for a specific hood , which unfortunately only Phelps has in the right color and supposedly in decent shape. I ask him if they can deliver it to my house. Basically said “no way, has to go to a shop.” …ok fine. Gave him the name of a shop to send it to, he replies with “ no they have to call us.” ok fine again. Literally the 8 other wrecking yards I talked to before looking for this part, do deliver to residential, but whatever. Maybe this guy got robbed or something so I’ll give him a pass on that part. He had a poor attitude and I was wishing I didn’t have to buy it from him, but I guess beggars can’t be choosers. So it is what it is. I decided to send somebody out there the next morning to pick up the hood he quoted me for $150 during the initial phone call. I called to confirm it was still there. A younger guy said he would call back to let us know and he never did. An hour or so later I called back and the rude guy answered. He said he still has the hood. “Great, I’m sending someone over to pick it up from San Jose right now.” I confirm the quoted price from yesterday which was $150 and he says “ its $200” I told him “ yesterday you quoted me $150 I wrote it down” He in his awesome tone says “ I never said that sir” “ I told him “dude I have money, but you told me yesterday it was $150.” His response was a long pause…. “Whatever makes you happy” then hangs up on me. I then call back after a few minutes after being confused on what to do. I tell him “I was going to go out there and give you my money, but because you are so unprofessional I’m not anymore.” He called me a jerk and hung up. Congrats buddy you showed me who’s boss. You win $150 less dollars and a well deserved review. I wonder how much business you lose by having a power trip with potential customers.
