I have been coming here to recycle cans for the past 2.5 years. They have the best staff. So kind and helpful. They are amazing! And it’s been majority of the same staff for those years. So good on SA Recycling for keeping a great team together! Thank you!

Just when I thought I had found a decent scrap place in Huntsville.... They refused to pay me for my # 1 copper. The Indian lady was rude and said if anything goes through copper pipe it is #2 copper. Unfortunately that is not true. The difference between #1 copper and #2 copper is that the #1 copper is clean of solder and other non copper metals. I own an HVAC company that deals with thousands of lbs of scrap copper a year. This is the only scrap place that has refused to give me #1 copper prices for the clean copper I brought in. I left with my #1 Copper and carried it to another scrap yard and got guess this... #1 copper prices for my clean copper.

I have taken metal here from some of our rental properties several times. It doesn't pay much but it's nice to be able to get rid of it and make a few bucks in the process.

Took a load of mostly clean alloy metals to these guys. Four different employees there during my visit were very rude, including 3 yard folks, and even the cashier was very impolite. They treat everyone like criminals here.... I was very polite the whole time, and very respectful. Then to my surprise, after they dumped all my clean alum, copper, brass and stainless with their metal piles , they then gave me a receipt which downgraded the alloy content of almost everything I had brought. ( I had even called and got price quotes before I came) It would have been impossible to get all my metals back and take somewhere else, after they mixed them all up. I will never do business with these very unprofessional, and shady folks again.Through their rudeness, they act like they don't even care about or want your business. There are other metal savage buyers on google maps for citizens to better choose from.

Every time we go to drop off our scrap we are greeted by some of nicest people. When you first pull into the facility and get in line, there is a man that greets you, looks over your things, and writes down your license plate. He is one of the most respectful, good hearted, and kind people I have ever met. I wish I knew his name and will find out the next time I go because he definitely deserves to be recognized.

After taking off of work early, I get to this business before closing, which is stated three thirty p m online. The day before I had even called the business and asked their hours and was told three thirty was closing, Imagine my frustration when I take off work early. Drive through that afternoon, traffic. Get to the business and pull up to the gate The front of the business parking lot is completely full. I'm met by somebody telling me That they closed at three fifteen today, I let him know that I had taken off work. And I had called day before and then online, it stated three thirty, It was quite obvious that this made no difference to this man. I mean, I had a very small amount of wire. All they had to do was put it on the scale. I know other places like that work hard, but come on. It was as if he found this .humerous And i honestll found no humor in it whatsoever. I will never come back to that business. And I'm sure that doesn't break any heart. As far as the employees are concerned. But They have lost a considerable amount of business even when speaking of mine alone, great job .

These people have absolutely zero customer service skills and it pains me to be forced to do business with them. Somebody needs to open a new scrap yard in Huntsville because we are all sick of SA Recycling and would love an alternative place to recycle. SA Recycling should stand for SucksAss.

This was my first time here. The signage isn't great, but the employees were very patient and informative. I had no idea what to expect, and got $6.50 for two small kitchen bags of uncrushed aluminum cans($2.50), a few old car parts, and a metal shelf from a closet. It took about 35 minutes total, but mainly due to me not going to the right areas. I will return again once I have more crushed cans to make it worth the trip.

Everyone should remember that price for scrap shouldn't be your reason for picking your scrap yard! We drive a little further to this scrap yard because the employees are understanding, helpful and don't try to put your scrap in the worst possible category!!!! So you break even with a much better experience with respectful good hearted employees. Today as always Mrs. Sharron runs a great well organized shift. She knows in detail what goes where so you don't get cheated on your scrap. As I said price shouldn't pick your scrapyard. Stef was helping us unload when I interrupted to ask about a deep freezer to start my worm compost bin. Stef and I laughed and joked then he radioed the Manager Joe to help. Joe and Jerry laughed and joked with me as well while making the decision. Since worm composting is extremely important for the environment they agreed I could get one. I wanted to hug them both! Thank you all

Ameer was exceptionally helpful in sorting my metals & helping me get the most $$$ w his advice & knowledge of the business. Also very well kept, not leaving worrying about my tires! Great scrap prices for everything I sold, I highly recommend selling here!

They are good about giving a decent price for scrap and have a fairly short wait time. Over a certain amount they issue checks, which is relatively normal. However, they issued a check for a bank that does not have very many branches. Going to the closest bank would have been fine, except the bank was 5 minutes away. The check was post dated For An Hour! Not wanting to wait 55 minutes in hot summer weather, we wasted time and gas figuring out the other bank branch was closed, before having to return to the original bank. So please, SA recycling, either do not post date checks for an hour, or pick a bank that has more branches!!

Absolutely terrible compared to every other scrapyard. The line was extremely slow and employees had little or no knowledge of scrap. Also no enforcement of folks trying to cut in line. Even with the price of gas it's worth taking the trip out to Decatur instead!

BEWARE!!!! I was impressed with the operational aspect and a few of the workers were pleasant. However, the fact that I took a stove, refrigerator, deep freezer, washer, dryer, and other scrap metal items and didn't even break $100. SEEMS KINDA SCAMMY TO ME. But hey what can you do when it's a "legal" scam. They listed everything as tin and I had no tin at all. Pay fairly for what you receive, is that too much to ask.

I hadba flat tire on the property and I was treated like I was out to scam. I accidently ran over a piece of metal and I tired to have the tire plugged but the item destroyed the tire. I searchef around to four tire stores until I find a used tire to replace mind. Instead of apologizing I got hit by management that you probably already had a flat tire or slow leak. That explanation was crazy because the take photos of every vehicle arriving on there premiums. If it was a slow leak then the tire would infact leak slowly and not go completely flat in an instance. A business must maintain the grounds in a safe condition. When they fail they should assist the customer in anyway to make the situation right to show they value the customer and want continued business. There professional ism leaves a lot to be desired. You cannot deny liability. I have been a long term customer if Ed Miller before sa took over and they where much better managers. It is your responsibility to keep the year in a safe confirmation.

Been here a few times scrapping radiators and condensers. Normally they'll have two big tubs and you put the clean aluminum which is just aluminum no plastic or other materials on it in one bin and dirty aluminum in the other. That way you get one price for the clean which is normally double the price of the dirty. But today I came in and had the most of paper brought up there and instead of doing it that way they had me run across the scales and they priced it all as dirty. Half was clean so I lost $30 -$40 that way. Next time I go if they ask me to do it that way again I'm just driving off.

Very great place!!! Nice, friendly, and helpful people!!! Ameer is a very hard and talented worker! No complaints except when I pulled up one day 5 minutes before y’all closed and I was told y’all were closed. That’s not what it says on y’all’s website. If y’all close at 3:30pm close at 3:30pm. Not before. Every minute counts and I felt like I was cheated out of my time and money that day.

Ripped me off and I won't be back . Terrible place 100% rip off

Overall, nice operation for public metal recycling. The guy directing traffic was pleasant but could explain the process to new visitors like myself a little clearer. Will be visiting repeatedly in the future. Cash for aluminum was very reasonable.

Overall pretty good. Would not take a broken ultrasound from my work due to being "medical equipment". They made me a little nervous using the magnet to get stuff out of the back of my truck. They have multiple signs saying "not responsible for damage to vehicles while unloading" and he didn't seem overly gentle when trying to unload it which makes me think damage occurs quite often, so I emptied it on the ground where he could pick it from there.

Demanded my license before loading my trailer. I offered my federal issued identification card and the General Manager demanded my license. There is a state law that says buying or selling of scrap requires government identification. There is no requirement from government that identification must be a drivers license. General Manager could not provide legal reference and would not provide me with his drivers license . I will say this, the yard workers are polite, helpful, and not afraid of the rain. Prices to buy or sell is fair. As with all scrap yards it's a mess if someone blows their nose.

They don’t pay very well for high end materials such as copper, brass, carbide etc. The employees here have no idea that there’s different grades of aluminum alloy, some worth much more than others so they just group it all together by looks only. They keep telling me to throw my cast iron and #1 steel into shred so they pay me less and dig it out later. They don’t purchase precious metal bearing circuit boards, they call them trash unless it’s a power board covered in copper and aluminum but they still only pay tin shred for them as well as whole computers and servers which is a shame. They need to modernize and being buying circuit boards, power supplies, slot cards, CPU’s, Memory sticks, graded and paid out accordingly instead of throwing it all into steel shred. However they’re very forgiving about what they purchase as steel shred so they’re currently my favorite scrap yard to take common junk metals too. I used to take my good materials to ACB but since they’ve closed I’m having a hard time finding a better scrap yard that will pay a fair price for higher end metals. If anyone had any suggestions please feel free to let me know. I have tons of circuit boards and power supplies but I can’t bring myself to take shred price for them when I know what they’re worth.

Use to be a good company and the employees are the same. I frequent here several times a year and today I was told I couldn't sell number 1 Copper it has to go as number 2 because it wasn't bright enough.. number 1 is number 1 no matter oxidize or not. I said what and was told company policy....Gurantee they sale it as #1 copper

It's a little dirty for my taste, LOL but considering it is a recycling company that's to be expected. The staff were very friendly & helpful. They took the time to explain the process to me, so I knew what to expect. I will definitely go back if & whenever I have recycling needs.

Great recycling facility for a home owner clearing stuff out. They take a variety of materials and the guys out front will patiently direct you where to go in their very busy yard. Steel, cast iron, small engines, broken cars go in the main yard and more valuable metals like copper, aluminum, stainless go to a sorting building. You can take old electronics as well so that's a great way to get rid of those old computers. Do not being nails, screws, or monitors.

If I could give this scrap yard a 0 i would. Worst experience ever not to mention they pay you in a check not cash and then there bank charges 10 dollars to cash the check oh and on top of it you have to wait a few hours to even cash the check will never go this this scrap yard again........
