Avoid at all cost! He is completely unorganized, unprepared, and does not know anything about the engines other than "it runs good". He has posted at the counter that he takes debit/credit, however, he does not. He was very uninformative on the phone and quite rude. I had to wait 30 minutes after arriving for them to go get gas for the forklift and move the engine even though I called to inform him I was on my way an hour earlier. After it was loaded, he informs me he only takes cash so we pushed it off in the driveway and I left. I would not be surprised if he doesn't honor the warranty. This was the worst experience I've had and I will NEVER go back.

He gave me the wrong wheels and he got me in trouble. they didn’t fit my car. I had to buy new wheels when I didn’t plan to spend that money on my car. He really messed me up and he rejected to do refund and he said I should have called them. Since when a customer receive wrong items s/he has to keep them and call the seller to reach a solution with him. The employee said I can do refund and then another employee said I can’t. Worst experience ever

Absolutely the rudest customer service ever. I called to get the price on my junk car and he answered the phone by saying hello so I instantly thought I had the wrong number first off. Then when I asked was this auto salvage I could barely understand his reply so I asked again and he replied like I was irritating him. I asked if he bought Saturns and he said he didn't so when he said he didn't I hung up the phone. I already was kind of irritated by how he answered anyway. Well I get a call back from an unfamiliar number and low and behold it was the same guy I hung the phone up with calling. He proceeded to tell me that he was trying to help me before I hung the phone up and recommended a place who wouldn't take my car. Then proceeded to tell me that I need to learn proper phone etiquette. Who does this man think he is calling me back trying to check me. You run a business act like it. PERIOD

I drove to this place with a bad alternator. He did not have another alternator that would fit my vehicle. So he tore my alternator open, and replaced a part that he on quote said “this part goes out on alternators, and when I replace it, you’ll be good to go”. It was the connector switch on the alterntor that has two little like brush tabs on the inside. He charged me 50$ I then reinstalled the what I thought was fixed alternator. Drove back to Decatur and the alternator was messing up once more. He lied to me just to make 50$ says he was in the Army and a mechanic but probably couldn’t even tie his own shoes. I went to a REAL LOYAL parts store, and they told me the bearings and brushes were beginning to go out. Sold me a brand new heavy duty for 170$ this man at this parts store is a big liar. All he wants to do is make money. Just like he had a customer call him about a transmission, and he told them “let me go check if its out there”, he stood in one spot and got back on the phone and said “no sir its not”. A bogus liar. Idk if there are multiple owners, but watch out for the skinny white young guy.

Only gave a star because I need to let people know this is the worst place to go. I found out [from former employee ] that all the good reviews were from friends of the owner since all they had was bad reviews. They r a rip off! They don't know what they r doing! They gave me wrong part year and model. Then said I could get a refund and all they did was give the run around saying I had to talk to Bubba. They don't know when they're boss works or comes in. They can only take ur money but the own has to be the one to refund it

I wish I could give no stars!!! These are Some of the most incompetent, rude so called human beings that could walk the face of this Earth! They sell you parts not knowing any knowledge of the part, then proceeds to tell you they can fix your broken part but hold it hostage for WEEKS (5 to be exact) then giving you the runaround about giving you the refund they said they would give you! Please save yourself the headache and avoid the place at all cost!! I will be filing a complaint with the BBB & I say for anyone who reads this and has lost money dealing with them lets get together and file a class action lawsuit & sue the hell out of these degenerates!!

I've known the owner for 40 years. He is a very fair businessman and a hard worker. Everytime. I've done business,. With auto salvage,. It's always been a good experience. I'm a small business owner, myself. It can be challenging at times. It is hard to please everyone. Please don't pay attention to any negative reviews. Some people will write mean reviews,. Thinking they might get something for free. Bubba is a drug free person and a very nice man,. With great morals. His business has been open fsince 1945. That speaks volumes.

This place is bad i pay 1000 for motor last week the motor he sell to me is bad now the owner dont want to gime my money back he is bad actitud to me plesase never buy parts because he dont give you money back.

I payed for a transmission on Thursday, he was rude when he answered the phone!! I've not heard from him yet... I need my transmission. If he doesn't have it today, I'm calling the police

Apparently anyone can slander a business or it's owners on Google. This business in one of the oldest of it's type, Auto Salvage, in the South and strives for customer satisfaction. Since 1945. Cory Woods was removed from the property by police and trespassed for making violent threats over nothing, to an employee that was doing his job. Enough said.
