I'm not impressed and also discussed for not letting me test fit a bumper right out front of their window where they can see or they could follow me out there. They refused and now a 80 year old veteran, on a fixed income, is now out $132.00..... thought better of this place. Never will go there again! There was no criminal act in this at all, this is coming from an ex manager that you fired. This business is the most corrupt that I've ever seen....This review is the honest and true. If I did criminal act then why wasn't the cops called? Your ex employee has nothing to do with me. It's funny how you only pay $300 a car and rake in thousands over one car. Your parts prices have gone up then why hasn't your pay out...messed up

We needed some smaller interior parts for my uncle's 2004 Ram 2500. They gave us a printout with locations for all of the Ram pickups. We found the parts that we needed pretty easily. The prices were more than fair. If you need parts for a great price, this is the place to go.

I went to Trusty PAP a few weeks back. They have a lot of newer vehicles compared to the other yards. The gentlemen there were quite helpful and patient. The prices are fair considering you aren't haggling some rando on FB for days and having to set up arrangements to meet. Additionally, you are getting oem parts for less than you would pay for non-oem parts on amazon. I will be continuing my vists there for all my needs on my newer vehicles. Thank you Trusty and all your crew for providing this opportunity to the Treasure Valley!

100 dollars plus tax for a fender on a 2009 versa. Imagine that. Brand new online is 75 dollars. I don't know how they assume these prices, but that's outrages. There's no point in going to this pick a part anymore if that's how expensive used parts that you have to pull yourself cost. Ridiculous. Update to the owners response: Your negligence to your consumers' reviews is why you feel the need to respond with such incompetence and is also expressed through your staff. You assume your parts are OEM, but that's not always the case. Also, if I wanted OEM quality parts, I wouldn't be going to your yard to begin with. Used parts are solely for the purpose of getting something used for a DECENT/CHEAP price. If you would understand the concept, im sure you would have better sales and retain repetitive customers. As an automotive expert, I can definitely say I will not recommend your yard moving forward. The risk compared to the pricing and service offered is very unbalanced. Goodluck to you.

Went to get a bumper cover. For those who dont know it is the plastic cover that goes over the actual reinforced bar (bumper). The guy who rang me up charged me for a full size truck bumper at $170 and would not adjust the price. I called around to several other locations and found out they are around $53. Rudest service i have ever had in 15 years of automotive industry. Have always liked jalopy jungle and have done tons of business with them but trustys is a joke Respose to Owner response; It was for a 2013 ford expedition. You can get a brand new one for around $150 at multiple online retailers. This one had scuffs and some dry cracking on a corner. The attitude the employee had was just uncalled for. Even said that if a higher up employee said to sell if for cheaper he wouldnt change the price. Had a better than you kind of smug attitude. I know if i acted that way to my customers i would not expect them back. Not only that but to ring up a plastic cover as a full size metal truck bumper is ridiculous. The attitude is what warrants the one star. You can offer great parts all day but if the customer service isnt good how do you expect return customers?

First time in, staff was extremely helpful and friendly. After searching multiple other yards for the motor I needed I found not only one but 8. Would 100% come back but I live too far out of state

Great place to find parts for your car, check car inventory on their website, reasonable prices, bring your tools, water and snacks, they have wheelbarrows to get your treasures, bought leather front seats for $100 bucks

Extremely friendly staff! Far better than some other local scrap yards... Was given a detailed list of locations AND inventory numbers in order to quickly locate vehicles with compatible parts, found the part for my car in less than 5 minutes! The price was nice, too. Will definitely be returning for any further needs! Thanks guys!

I read the reviews about the high prices but thought I would stop by to see for myself. I needed a skid plate for my 2008 Ram. The gentleman said it would be 34 dollars. I went right next to door to their other store (different company but same owner) and same part was 16 bucks. This was the Caldwell store. Probably not good business to have two companies side by side, owned by the same person, charging more than twice the cost for the same part. Really bizarre. Response to Owner response... I gave one star, even though I am happy with my purchase, is due to the fact that you own two businesses that sit side by side and you charge more than twice the price for the exact same part in one over the other. That is a stupid business model. You said it costs more to provide newer vehicle for newer parts. That may be true, but was the 2008 Ram at Trusty newer than the 2008 Ram at Jalopy Jungle? Seems like you need some uniformity here. Do you consider me a different clientele because I wanted to purchase from Jalopy Jungle rather than Trusty for the same year and model of vehicle? Is that why the Trusty side is twice the price? If I bought the part from Trusty rather than Jalopy where do I stand in your eyes in terms of "clientele?" As an owner, you can charge whatever you want for your service or product. At that point it is up to the consumer to find the best price for that service or product. I think most people understand that. My experience shows lack of price uniformity from one business to the other. This is what is offending the public. There are enough reviews mentioning your prices. Shouldn't that warrant at least a look at the issue?

1st time there and I had a great experience. I have one question to all those who are complaining about prices being so expensive at Trustys vs Jalopys. Why does it matter so much? Your obviously between a rock and a hard spot if you not willing to shop retail auto zone O'Reilly or dealership, so your savings even at either of these two yards is tremendous then your alternative 🤔 just something to think about. I've been a ford service technician for years now and I choose to shop at yards because even with a discount for my own dealer can be too expensive. It would be wise of you to research your pricing through calling both locations or where ever you were thinking about going ahead of time to verify pricing and find out which yard will save more or greater chance of capturing the part you need. Sounds like to me your poor experiences and reviews were because of your own lack of research and then you went in with a expectation of a price you would be willing to pay and let yourself down. We need the yards to be competitive that is how we keep them around. If you write too many bad reviews because of you own action then nobody will go and they'll close up and we be forced to shop retail to keep our vehicles moving. Just remember dont give a bad review because you inability to do your prep work know you options and what you walking into before you step foot into a yard that way you'll know what to expect. A lot of time I will just walk in and find what I am looking for and pay whatever it cost because ultimately it's cheaper than retail and it's harder to pin down both cheap price and guarantee the parts is still available, so take it while you can get it is really my operation.

The staff were very helpful helping us find what we needed. We told them what we were looking for and they looked up where the car models were in the yard. If you have time to remove the parts you need, you can save a ton of money buying from them.

I went there to get 2 headlight assembly’s for my Mini Cooper and I paid 90 dollars I’m not complaining of the headlights being that much as I was quoted anywhere from 400 to 1400 brand new but my issue is they were broken one is broken in 2 spots to put screws and the other in 1 spot and it was broken yesterday November 28th 2023 the day that I purchased them the headlight would move so I had to go back and get the right part to fix that issue I wouldn’t say don’t come here I would just say be careful what you buy as they wouldn’t refund me my money they only do in store credit and it only works at trustys and that’s good for only 2 years all I wanted was my money so I could buy a part that wasnt broken. I tried finding other headlights but there were none that would’ve fit. Thanks for reading I just needed to vent as those headlight were a Christmas present for my boyfriend now I’m out 90 dollars Response to owner: I just talked to one of the front desk person and he said he is extremely confused because they are told that the in store credit is only valid for 2 years and that I should get an email from you about getting a credit for life for the in store credit because you are the owner but as far as the store they only offer in store credit for 2 years so I’m being told 2 different things one from the owner who obviously knows his business and another thing from everyone who works at trusty please update that ASAP so everyone is on the same page

Let me just say up front, I have been a staunch supporter of trusty pick apart. That is until today August 16th 2023. I went there under the impression that their stuff was made just like everybody else's but apparently it's lined with gold and platinum. Because they wanted to charge me $47 plus tax on a three bolt power steering pump off of a 2004 ram 1500 5.7..... 47 dollars and tax. Jalopy jungle $24 out the door you want to tell me why a place less than a mile away from another place is charging twice as much for the exact same part and then taxes trustee you lost a customer today I'll never darken your doorstep again and as far as the young man telling me I had to walk that part all the way back well my integrity and the person that I have worked hard to become I did just that you didn't punt me out boy I acted like a man and handle my business.

This place is amazing it almost makes me cry. It brings me back to my childhood with my father, sharing fixing things. The value of used and recycling parts is huge. I actually don't live in the area ,but wish I did . My Hometown has lost the art and zen of Wrecking yards. If you have the ability to take things apart and want to save money go here and do just that. The employees will help you immensely and they actually care about their job. Justin, a very helpful, obviously caring and knowledgable guy disclosed that they have a very lovely boss named Manny who is very supportive and a grrat person in his own right. I didn't meet any others ,really, I'm sure that the rest of the people there are great. I don't write reviews for praise or money, instead, just to let the world know about great people and places often overlooked. The response by the actual owner speaks volumes to the integrity of his empire! my only regret, is not discovering this place 1 day sooner so as to not miss out on an opportunity I truly would have cherished, ce la vie!

They have a good selection of vehicles if you have a super duty ford but they are way over priced! $101 for a tailgate? I've gotten multiple at jalopy jungle for $25 or less! Jalopy Jungle is the best junkyard in idaho. Trusty's feels like a utah junkyard. Unorganized and overpriced. Dont go here. I drive all the way from Pocatello all the time just to go to Jalopy Jungle's yards specifically if that tells you anything. Update response to owner: I moved back to Boise area and now drive back to eastern Idaho, Idaho Falls specifically, to go to I-Pull because they are now the best priced junkyard in the state! Was at Trustys today trying to find a valve body out of a transmission. $151! Plus $50 each for each solenoid in it. I can get one online brand new cheaper with all the solenoids and a warranty. I've done it multiple times. Or I can drive to I-Pull and get one with each of the 7 solenoids for $50 for everything. Tailgate? No problem. $35. That's right. $35. Trustys also rarely changes out vehicles and they sit there forever. Honestly have contemplated opening my own junkyard because of this. I have the resources. I get that all the Californians moving here is driving up prices of everything but cmon. Junkyards aren't supposed to be the same price as or more than auto parts stores for parts. Especially used! That's criminal. Don't be like the Utah junkyards.

I needed a part for my titan and I called all over three counties and I found what I was looking for at Trusty's, they're the only company that has any titan's and just about any other type of vehicle that you might be looking for. I think I might have found my new parts yard, I'm glad I got to check them out because I have three other vehicles that I might need something for.

  • R

Prices aren't as good as Jalopy Jungle, and they might charge for two drivelines even though it is one driveline from one vehicle going from one transmission to one rear differential... just because an AWD vehicle has a joint in the middle doesn't make it two drivelines. They have vehicles that are newer than what Jalopy Jungle tends to have, and the yard seems to be well maintained and managed. They are rearranging their rows right now so difficult to navigate. I felt like I got inconsistent information and I wasn't alone. It's a really long drive from Boise, but at least I got the parts I needed.

I bought a transmission came with 60 day warranty, today is the 60 day and the transmission is bad, don't have enough time to remove transmission and take it to the store, called the store and explain to the employee, but he could not do anything because he physically has have the transmission to be able to do any type of warranty. I suggest if he could do the paper work and I would take the transmission next day, he said no. I guess the transmission needed to go bad yesterday but you can't plan those things. I think there's gotta be something they can do
