Saw your response. You suggested I buy my own headlights of which I did. They may or may not have worked because I watched as you put one in and as I am not a mechanic and after some research they need to be installed in a particular way. You may or may not have done that. I asked you to simply replace the light bulb of which you did and the bulb did not work. The issue is when I took my car to another mechanic the bracket that held the new bulb YOU put in was bent and I had to get a new bracket. $500 later. The bulb YOU put in incorrectly worked fine once the bracket was replaced. Thank you for costing me $600(that includes the $100 I gave you). Hence 1 star. Well deserved.

Brian Vrba is one VW mechanic you can completely trust. I am really grateful to have found this place to take my '73 Superbeetle! Honest, helpful, polite and generous with his knowledge , skill and time. What a relief after spending years and thousands at other shops just to get ripped off. Seriously grateful! Don't waste your time or money. Original head gaskets replaced on a vanagon with good compression and no issues otherwise. Passenger side had just barely started to weep. Lasted less than 14months/4k miles. Blew out completely and lost massive amounts of coolant very quickly. Come to find out it was a hack job. Nothing machined and original head studs re used which is apparently a big no no. I was clear that if there were any other parts that even looked like they needed replaced soon that I would air on the side of spending the money and doing it. Especially the head studs or even new heads! Knowing this, he even tried to JB weld a crack in my exhaust instead of just ordering new. Quality and customer experience is on par with what you would expect from basically a junkyard.
