What an experience! The car launch itself was spectacular, but the political talk from the speaker could've been less. Great support for the veterans and active duty military. Glad we where able to witness and be a part of this event while it's still happening. With the erosion of the river bank I'm not sure how long it'll still go on. See it if you can. Long lines for both food and port-a-potties.

Second time visiting this place on the Fourth and highly recommend. Great food trucks. Great photos. Lots of fun. Be prepared to walk 20-30 minutes from the highway to the viewing area downhill. We also parked 2 miles from the entrance because traffic was bad an hour before the start. Yay for good sneakers. Bring a folding chair and a backpack for snacks. If you can, a bike would've been great. If you have an ATV or side by side, that's great too. Or, you could take a rafting tour with NOVA guides or a flightseeing tour with a local operator. Many took souvenirs home from the wreckage. Haha. It was encouraged. Highly recommend.
