Pulled up and employee automatically started getting extremely rude and extremely mean about it being close to closing. Despite my saying do you want me to wait and come back tomorrow he proceeded to unloaded a truck load of aluminum cans. After us helping and rushing to help him get done quick he spouted thanks rudly. This amount of cans always brought us around $30 at other recycling centers we used in the past, and they also paid in cash. This company handed us a check for $11.00 so after the fact of check cashing fees I get to settle for $8 on what used to bring me $30. The reviews were true. This was for about 30+ lbs. Of not nasty aluminum. This is crooked and I'll never send them anything again. I'd rather trash it then waste our time so they can cheat us on money. BBB should be notified and they should lose their business liscence.

I just hauled a chevy S-10 truck load of crushed aluminum cans to mid-state recycling a couple weeks ago and got ripped off. It's not the first time. When I called the office. They told me to come back and they would ask there workers if I had what I said I had... I been recycling all types of metal since 1997 all over the state of ky. I know my metals.and I don't lie about anything.. mid state has employees who are dishonest and they back them up.. that's why you never see the weight of materials they put on there scale .they know there employees are stealing from the public and Noone ever knows it.. IL never sell or send anyone to mid-state recycling after figuring out they do there.and the way they have been allowed to steal from the very community that keeps them in buisness..wake up people...

I recently took in four gigantic bags of cans and only got 13 bucks for it. It should have been way more than 13 bucks for for big bags of cans. I urge everybody to go to the next County over to recycle instead of this place because they screw people over. I also brought in clean aluminum the in the past and they marked it as dirty aluminum. Just noticed that on my receipt. The recycling place in Elizabethtown is much better and they give you more for metal.
