I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Tony’s Wreck Service due to the lack of emotional intelligence and professionalism displayed by Dispatcher 7 (the name he provided when asked). I called on a Sunday to inquire about my daughter’s vehicle and to understand what she needed to do to retrieve her car from the lot. During the conversation, I explained that we needed to retrieve a car seat from the vehicle in order to transport a baby. Instead of showing understanding or offering clear guidance, Dispatcher 7 responded with, “Well if you’re not the registered owner then you will just have to go buy another car seat.” This response was insensitive, unnecessary, and completely inappropriate given the circumstances. The situation escalated when he began arguing with me rather than answering the question being asked. I clearly stated that I was not trying to argue, yet he insisted that I was simply because I was not the registered owner. He then said, “If she could come and get the car seat then why come she can’t get the car?” — despite the fact that he had already stated the lot was not open until the next day. When I clarified this, he contradicted himself again by saying I had claimed we were coming to get the car seat. When I asked for his name, there was a noticeable pause before he replied, “Dispatcher 7, my name is Dispatcher 7.” At that point, it became clear that the interaction was being handled emotionally rather than professionally. I then had to re-ask my questions in a very specific way just to receive concise, non-emotional answers. A towing company often deals with people during stressful moments, and compassion and professionalism should be standard. Unfortunately, this interaction lacked both. This experience reflects poorly on Tony’s Wreck Service, and I hope management addresses how customers—especially those dealing with urgent family needs—are treated.

We used this company, mistakenly, to winch a truck 10 feet off a patch of ice in a flat driveway and back onto the road. The travel distance was 6.7 miles from their office to the location. The operator was onsite for a total of 15 minutes, and the bill was $952. The office explained that is their standard rate for a pull out, but in my 15 years experience of using towing companies for pulling a semi, this is 2 to 3 times the rate I have been charged in the past. If this is the normal rate for this service in this area, so be it, but if we had been told this price when I called in, we would not have used them.

Paid $1,100 to get my car towed from them to Lexington and they told me over the phone “it’s just ur driver side tire and a little front end damage” so I paid that amount thinking my car is salvageable and when my car gets to the body shop that my dad owns it’s beyond salvageable. Don’t make it seem like something it’s not just to make a dollar and yalls customer service is TERRIBLE!!!! Learn how to speak to others. I work in fast food so trust me I get a lot of rude customers as I assume yall do to cuz who wants their car towed? But don’t lie about how the car is to make a dollar.
