Lack of transparency is a big issue here. Prices were not explained, measurements were done without showing or discussing anything, and the employee simply took the scrap with zero communication. I was even charged 2 pounds for a very light cardboard box (around 200 g), which felt unreasonable. Other scrap yards are much more open and professional. I recommend going somewhere else even if the price for exchange is a bit cheaper.

Not really anywhere to park, if you're recycling lead acid batteries maybe look elsewhere since their giving you 15% of the weight you give them. I had a backup sump pump battery and a car battery equaling 89 pounds and they gave me $13.35. I believe O'Reilly's gives $20 for the core when exchanging. Not sure how much they'd give me without buying a battery from them though.<br><br>Process was easy and straight forward, haul your crap onto the scale they weigh it and give you cash.

Would give zero stars if possible. They pay ZERO for any steel I've brought. It's conveniently right down the street so I only bring bulky items that aren't worth the hassle to haul to my other go-to places. Any other location I go has always paid 5 1/2 - 7 cents per pound for steel/ferrous material (water heater, stove, refrigerator, etc). They claim they pay top market price but they pay bottom of the (rusty) barrel, if at all.
