Predatory towing company, unprofessional, and lies about documentation. Always make sure to call the police to see if your car was reported, ask who asked for the tow, why it was towed. It was difficult to get a hold of them, they didn’t even have my towing on file when I called them. I caught them in a lie too on “who” reported it… I will be taking legal action.

Beware of this business. Avoid using them for a tow. Let everyone know.<br>⁣<br>So. My son forgot to move his car and, as warned, he got towed. That’s on him.<br>⁣<br>We received no notification of the tow, and had to track the car down. This company - AATCO Transmissions and Towing - charged him the unreasonably high price of $285 towing + $35 storage for the day.<br>⁣<br>To be clear I’m not complaining that he was towed, and we would have been fine paying a reasonable fee, but that price gouging for a 1.5 mile tow of a Subaru Outback is criminal!<br>⁣<br>I asked to negotiate down the price and they were unwilling. The part that got under my skin the most although was the excuses and lies.<br>⁣<br>“I can’t make those decisions.” “I can’t call the person who does.” “He doesn’t read texts.” (A tow company that doesn’t take calls or texts from the office. Really?! )<br>⁣<br>The owner was finally called, and he did answer the phone. After their complaining about how difficult it was to move a Subaru Outback from an otherwise empty parking lot (yeah, read that again) they dropped the storage fee.<br>⁣<br>After this, we contacted Nampa PD (should have started there) to see if they reported that they towed the car. They are legally responsible to do so. PD had no record of the car being towed (even though AATCO told us they did report it - another lie ) So, I guess they basically stole it!<br>⁣<br>And I’m not alone in complaining about this. I live very close to this shop. I stopped in due to a flat tire. They filled it up for free so I could go somewhere to get the tire repaired. Very nice folks!
