According to their own website, they are open to the public and accept cash which is a LIE on both counts. Their phone reps are also extremely rude and don't like to be questioned as to why the website says one thing and the reality is the exact opposite. I absolutely refuse to purchase or allow anyone to purchase parts for my vehicle from this company. I may pay more but i will absolutely look elsewhere for parts.

Over the past 25 years we purchased many engines, transmissions and small parts from many junkyards including LKQ on eBay, local & national yards. Our July 2025 experience with LKQ Salisbury would probably be our last one with LKQ.<br>LKQ (Salisbury, NC location) sold us a bad engine for a 2018 Chevy Silverado for $3,064.<br>The original receipt /invoice stated that their engine “smokes due to rollover”, so they knowingly sold a part with an existing defect.<br>After the install, and while still at the mechanic shop, the engine overheated/ smoked and we advised an LKQ rep of such issues. We called in and asked LKQ to send us an engine and return the old one as a replacement under the stated 6-month warranty. They picked up the old one and then told us it’s out of warranty because they did not have the chance to inspect the engine damage while it was installed in our truck! We paid 2x for the labor. We still have 6 months left on the their engine warranty per their receipt, promise and contract. They later attempted to re-deliver their bad engine with an invoice stating: “Deliver, voided warranty engine”, which we definitely did not accept.<br>After complaining, LKQ reps stopped taking our phone calls, answering our emails and refused to refund us. They are not willing to replace it with a good engine, nor even refund the tax and core charges. They have all the money, tax & core charges and their bad engine. We were in communication with Kyle, Jean, Aaron, Richard, Joe and Will either via email or phone calls.<br>LKQ was our go-to for a big used parts purchases, but the local yards around here are giving LKQ a real bad name.<br>The local yard reps., the manager, and a district manager of the area are not concerned nor care to resolve this issue, as they do not return phone calls or emails even now.<br>This is bad business, and both unfortunate and unprofessional!

They’re not open to the public for some reason, even though they have a lot of parts. I called the number and the person told me they have to send the part to Charlotte and I can pick up there. So you’re saying I have to make a 90mi round trip from Salisbury to Charlotte and back to Salisbury when I could’ve picked it up 6-ish miles from me?
