He made sure to explain to me in detail what he was doing when he was jacking up my car, made very pleasant conversation, and even helped me speak with the service department at my car dealership! This tow yard is one of the most uncompassionate and hostile businesses I’ve ever dealt with.<br><br>University Police towed my partner’s car after pulling him over for expired insurance and an expired ID — nothing criminal, no warrants, no holds. The vehicle simply got dumped at this lot.<br><br>Inside the car are my expensive grooming tools that I rely on to work and survive. I’m pregnant and homeless, and losing that equipment literally affects my income and ability to get medical care.<br><br>Under Texas Property Code §70.006, they are REQUIRED to let me get my personal belongings out of the vehicle. It’s the law — plain and simple.<br><br>Instead, the staff:<br>– talked over me<br>– dismissed my situation<br>– claimed “state law” prevented retrieval (which is untrue)<br>– showed zero compassion, even when I explained my medical and housing situation<br><br>One employee even tried to compare his “hard times” to mine while denying me property that legally belongs to me.<br><br>This was unnecessary, hostile, and illegal.<br><br>If you value your rights, your property, or basic human decency, avoid this tow yard.
