I had a very disappointing experience here. I came in requesting a simple transmission drain-and-fill on my 2014 Ford Fusion - a completely standard maintenance item for the 6-speed in these cars. Instead of inspecting the fluid or discussing the service, Ben immediately refused and became noticeably defensive when I explained why this generation of Fusion actually benefits from periodic drain-and-fills.<br><br>His reasoning seemed based on concerns that applied to much older transmissions, not modern sealed units like mine. Another shop later confirmed this, completed the drain-and-fill without issue, and the car is running great.<br><br>What bothered me most wasn’t the disagreement - it was the attitude. He wouldn’t consider inspecting the car, wouldn’t discuss context, and acted as though my request was unreasonable or insulting. I ended up taking the car to a different reputable shop that was professional, respectful, and fully comfortable performing the service after checking the fluid.<br><br>I understand that shops have their own policies, but the tone, lack of communication, and unwillingness to even look at the vehicle were unprofessional. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Scarsdale Auto for anyone who expects clear, respectful service or up-to-date guidance on modern vehicles.
