We were charged $1,750.00 in total, including $550 for towing and a $50 per day storage fee. Our truck was towed less than 0.8 miles following an accident on January 9, 2026. The Oxford Police Department contacted the towing company because the vehicle was not drivable.<br>I went to their shop the same day as the accident and was told that we had to wait until the insurance adjuster cleared the vehicle. Since the accident occurred on a Friday, we had to wait until Monday to contact the insurance company. After that, I began calling the towing company almost daily. I left multiple voicemails but was never able to speak with anyone directly, and my calls were not returned.<br>Because I do not live in Alabama, I had to wait until I could arrange transportation and find time to travel to Oxford to have the truck towed to a friend’s home.<br>I am extremely concerned about what I believe to be unfair business practices. Additionally, I believe the Oxford Police Department should reconsider the towing companies they rely on for accident recoveries.<br>I am particularly outraged by the excessive $550 towing fee for a distance of less than one mile.

Mr. Hughes was very professional, super helpful and a problem solver!!! He was unable to transport my electric car with a super flat tire that resisted fix a flat and air compressors. However, he actually came out to check the tire, took it to be inspected, patched and put it back on my car saving me a $500 tow back to Birmingham. Thanks to him everyone in my house was able to get where they needed to be today!
