I recently contacted the Tustin Toyota Parts Department because I was looking for a metal oil filter cap to replace the plastic OEM one on my vehicle. The representative told me they do not make metal versions and only sell the plastic OEM cap. I explained that I had found a metal cap listed through Toyota online and even provided the specific part number. He responded that the part only fit models up to 2018. When I asked if he could confirm whether it would fit my vehicle, he told me I would need to do more research online myself. The interaction felt dismissive and unhelpful. I also explained that the current cap had been over-tightened during a previous service visit at this same dealership, which caused it to crack when it was removed. I was simply trying to prevent the same issue from happening again by exploring a more durable option. Unfortunately, instead of offering assistance or looking further into it, I was again told to research it myself. I was hoping for better customer service and more support from the parts department, especially when trying to resolve an issue connected to prior service performed at this dealership. 2/21/2026 1:00pm

I can’t tell you how appreciative I was by the parts staff at Tustin Toyota. This isn’t just a run-of-the-mill good service review where they’re polite and helpful – it was much more! And it warms my heart, when an organization provides excellent service as their standard, because most other places always say they’ll provide good service, but rarely measure up. I needed two small part items for my Toyota RAV4 prime, and everywhere I called. It was either a hassle or I’d have to wait on endless holds without somebody willing to get back to me. They had access to the parts both times, let me know the day it would come in and went above and beyond when the first part didn’t fit, not only to try and help make it fit. But the manager of the department, whose name is Chuck even ordered an additional exact item for me just in case in the future, if the part didn’t work out. I was so happy because no one prior to that anywhere was really helping me out or showing me how to get this done in an easy way and he did it. Not only that, but Chuck was incredibly friendly, gregarious and professional in his manner. Additionally, it’s not just Chuck who’s great in that Parts Department. I could tell from my interactions with the other few people. I spoke to there that they are always professional, efficient, and willing to help out. It’s so nice to find a place that does business the right way and makes me feel comfortable when I have a parts order question. Yes, this is a five star review! It’s so deserved… If you don’t believe me, just give them a try and I’m sure you’ll have the exact same feeling and results that I’ve Had and additionally it’ll save you a heck of a lot of headache headaches time and money. 5 stars for online delivery Ordered parts for a transverse v6 spark plug job and everything came quick and intact. 3 stars for online pickup Removing 1 star because the online parts pickup does not specify their hours differ from the brick and mortar hours. I was unable to find this discrepancy in any web page or email. I wasted half an hour only to be told this in person. Online parts is 7am to 4pm on weekdays.
