Unfortunately, this shop is not equipped to service older Sprinter vans. Despite that, they “completed work” for us. We were back a week later with the same issue- which they misdiagnosed once again, and sent us on our way. Upon returning a third time with the same issue, they directed us to a different mechanic in Golden saying that they weren’t comfortable doing anything more involved and weren’t confident they could get parts. None of these things were brought up on our initial visit.<br><br>When the mechanic in Golden inspected our vehicle, they found issues with some of the previous “completed work”. We approached AutoHaus with a request for reimbursement of the costs we spent, or to re-do the work as it was under warranty. They took the van back in and informed us they didn’t think there was an issue and wouldn’t offer to refund or redo the work. Additionally, the shop in Golden quickly diagnosed our coolant leak as a water pump issue. AutoHaus failed to do so twice, and we were left to cut short travel with a leaking van both times.<br><br>During this last and final visit, we were given the run-around with excuses and condescension. Our bad luck continued while the van was there. During their testing, the transmission experienced an issue went into limp mode. At this point, they informed us they didn’t have the ability to read an error code from our van (and thus could not clear it either), because their code reader wasn’t equipped to do so for our generation of van. Again, there was no mention of this when we visited the first time.<br><br>We have no issue with the new mechanics that AutoHaus referred us to, and actually prefer the service we are receiving there. Just wish they had been up front with us from the start that they don’t work on older makes/models.
