Pulled in here during the day. Tons of spots — parking was wide open, like a screaming empty register at McDonald’s. Inside looked okay… let’s call it a solid 3 out of 5, which honestly isn’t bad. This Love’s ain’t the freshest, but far from some abandoned dump — looks pretty decent actually.<br><br>Only thing? There’s that certain vibe… you know, that tone from a couple of cashiers like they’re not exactly happy you’re here. Especially when you ask about a shower. Never in my life have I been told a price with that kind of attitude — like I owed him personally.

I've been coming to this Love's truck stop for years as I pick up a lot of units out of Midwest Transit here in Kankakee and this is where I fuel. Today I fueled fueled and got a large cup of ice water. Normally it's $0.50 today February 11th 2026 they charge me $2.26 for a large cup of ice water. The cashier said she couldn't believe it. She asked the manager and he said that's the way it is either pay it or just don't get the ice water. I could have bought a bottle of their bottled water for cheaper than that. Need us to say I've been a Loves customer for years especially at this one. But I'll probably not be coming to this one anymore. I travel all over the country and use Love's exclusively this is the first one that's ever done this.

Good amount of truck parking, found parking in the evening time on a Friday. No problem. Showers are nice and clean. Water flow was great. Temperature was good and get as hot as you want. Store seemed to be pretty clean, was welcomed upon and tree as expected at Love's. All the fuel aisles work. Good location outside of Chicago. Would stop here again
