Ryan at Batteries Plus was amazing. He programmed my car key super fast and did an excellent job. Other places quoted me $140+ for the same service, but here it was only around $90. Everybody was professional, efficient, and made the whole process quick and hassle-free. Highly recommend asking for Ryan if you need key programming or battery services.

Bought a Battery in October 2005 and it died in December 2025. This store has NO process except to take your money. I spoke to each employee and the manager, with no resolution. The manager denies conversations with his employees not wanting to provide service for the defective battery. Batteries Plus from others has had common complaints about poor product quality (batteries failing early), difficult warranty claims, inconsistent service, and issues with phone/device repairs damaging electronics or causing software problems, while positive reviews often praise quick service, lifetime warranties on some items (like key fobs), and helpful staff, highlighting that experiences vary greatly by store location and staff. I cannot stress enough to stay from this store. Spend the additional cost and make your purchase from Home Depot.<br><br>I was asked to contact Frank which I tried with no response. My problem has been open since mid December with no response from the Schaumburg store. Especially since they still have my battery.<br><br>I have spoken to the corporate office a number of times, and the last conversation was providing with an email.<br><br>I sent an email providing my contact information and still no one from Batteries Plus has contacted me.<br><br>I still have a case opened with the BBB updating them on lack of response from Batteries Plus. Maybe, something will happen with their assistance.<br><br>I have NEVER had a experience as this with retailer not responding or standing behind their product.

Do not shop at this Batteries Plus store. They do not honor their 12-month warranty or work with you whatsoever. I got a deep cycle battery for my Basement Watchdog system which was giving false battery alarms. I needed to get a different battery model. They do not work with you on exchanging it or anything.<br><br>Also an employee here told me I never have to add distilled water to a maintenance accessible battery. This is false. Obviously if it's got the 6 caps there, you have to fill them with distilled water when they are running low. I tried to correct him a few times but he was insistant that you never add water to them.<br><br>Also, the store manager was rude and does not know how to communicate with customers. He definitely does not know how to run this place.
