It was a trust worthy expirience, nothing short of incredible! Before taking to Santa Monica Autoworks I drove the BMW to this shop at west of Sepulveda blvd half a block south of Venice blvd. Across from Carls Junior. After spending money and more than 4 months to fix a shifting problem, they diagnose the car as “the best thing to do is junk this car, it will not and cannot be started again”. The car had wires hanging under the dash steering column covers on the seats etc. “Misery” does no describe enough. I told them not to touch any longer and called AAA to have the car sent to Santa Monica Autoworks. Immediately I could see the difference from the start. They told me what was wrong with car, what it was needed, and how much it was going to cost. They also suggested a phased approach, “First things first”. They not only got the car started but also fixed a series of other issues. They even made some recommendation of things that can wait. Their professionalism, honesty, and care for the details and the work they do is bar none! There are very few mechanic shops that you can trust, Santa Monica Autoworks e definitely up there among the best!!!!

I can’t say enough good things about Santa Monica Autoworks! Put simply, this is a business you can trust. Brian, Brett and their team are incredibly knowledgeable, hardworking, patient and exceptionally kind. There is no higher quality repair work than theirs and they provide superior customer service the whole way through. I’ve had experiences at other places in the past where I was upsold and taken advantage of just because it was clear that I don’t know anything about cars. At Santa Monica Autoworks I never have to worry about that. This team’s primary focus is always to find the best possible solution for me. And if I don’t fully understand the work that needs to be done they take the time to give a simple and straightforward explanation so I know what I’m paying for. It has been a privilege to build a relationship with this team and in turn it has enhanced my relationship with my car. These guys are great people who are friendly and respectful and easy going. They take their work seriously but somehow maintain a great sense of humor all the while. Even when they’re at their busiest, they put in the effort to make sure you feel welcome, heard and appreciated.
