There are very few good people left in this interesting world, but enter Greg at C & R automotive, old fashioned guy with a firm handshake. Honest, professional, looks out for the little people. He is going to do the right thing and make sure you get home safe in your vehicle and always give you a fair price(if you have time see full story below). Me and my family started our trip back home right before Thanksgiving holiday. We got very nervous when we heard a rattling sound coming from our vehicle on our long journey around lunchtime. We clunked are way up to the shop and thought it was going to be an expensive last minute brake fix before all of the shops started to close for the holidays. Greg-our repair man was talking with us and a young college student came in having a safety issue because his window wouldn't roll up and they were already booked for the rest of the day. He stopped and took 30 minutes to help out the young kid and give him the temporary fix to allow him to get safely back on the road. After seeing this I knew I was blessed and at the right repair shop. Greg drove my car for 3 minutes with me immediately knew it was not safe for me to get back on the road. He took the time to personally get it in the lift and fix the safety issue of 1 bolt missing and 1 bolt loose on the brakes on one of the tires from the last service when I got the brakes serviced at different shop in my home city about a year ago. He took about an hour of time total with my vehicle and replaced the bolt and only charged me $10 for his services(cost of the bolts and washers). I don't reside in Baton Rouge but, if I did, Greg and C & R would be me and my family car repair shop from now until my time is up on this earth. Overall, great shop and great service would come back again and again for all car repairs.

What started out to be a great day to visit our niece at LSU ended up being a nightmare! Our Nissan Altima 2015 transmission dies on the way up there! Luckily was able to literally drive it to her apartment building. After hours of trying to find a towing company that works on a Sunday and wasn’t going to take hours to pick us up or even return my calls we were able to get the car towed to C&R Automotive. They too do not work on Sunday but luckily only a mile from my nieces apartment complex and had a key drop off. We live in VA but visiting my brother his family, mother and sister in Gulfport, MS I was told it was hard to find a mechanic that would get back to you unless you badger them. I literally got a call first thing Monday morning from Greg which was a surprise. I explain the situation and he said he would get back to me with information as soon as he can. He called again the next day Tuesday to tell me that it was the transmission failure. He gave us the price of a new transmission and when it will be completed. He kept his word and called me when the car was done. He was so accommodating and helpful especially having to deal with him from Virginia. If you are in the Baton Rouge area and need car service, I HIGHLY recommend C&R Automotive and working with Greg! Honest, reliable and respectful.

been here plenty of times. The owner (I think- older guy) is always very nice. He’s even done a couple small things and not even charged. I’ve sent my younger sister here also and they never price gouge or try to just get you for money (which is very rare). I would trust them 1000% every time. If you are looking for a mechanic shop that is genuine and honest come here.
