Republic services does. It’s very best to make sure that you cannot cancel your service. Our business shut down in June 2025. We contacted Republic service to cancel the service we were told we had to talk with someone else. We went through that process three different times. Each month with the delay being continually billed. Finally, in October 2025 a representative from republic, after being threatened with a lawsuit, concluded that the service should have been canceled refunded the October payment. We assume things were taken care of. But no! They turned it over to a collection agency. We talked with the collection agency and eventually they acknowledged that there was nothing to collect. Then it was turned over to a collection agency on 8 January 2026 and we’re receiving notices here in May from the collection agency. There is no circumstance under which I would ever use republic again.

We are very dissatisfied with the service our school has received from Republic Services. The trash pickup is extremely inconsistent. Even though we are contracted for specific pickup days, there are frequent missed pickups. To make matters worse, the driver often makes false claims that our containers were blocked, which is simply not true. On several occasions, we have seen the truck drive right past our school without stopping, yet the system still records it as a “pickup,” likely just because the truck was nearby. After reporting these issues and even speaking with a manager some things improve, however the promise of follow-up calls are not kept, and the agreed upon corrected pickup day is not kept. As a school, reliable waste service is not optional—it’s essential. Unfortunately, Republic Services has been unreliable.

Been waiting since last Wednesday to have my 8 yard recycling container emptied at our business. I have made five requests to have it picked up and they still haven't shown up. Every time I call I'm always told "a request has been sent." Have requested to speak to a member of management twice and still have not received a callback. The people who answer the phones are always super nice. Update: Shortly after leaving this review I was contacted by a member of management. My container was emptied and parking lot cleaned the next morning. I have updated the review from one star to four stars.
