The fees charged to recycle are exorbitant! I dropped off a 50” flatscreen TV and a full sized box spring. I expected to pay roughly $35 or so but was charged $95.00!! The location is overstaffed, which is likely why they are charging so much even though most drop offs do not require any assistance. This fee structure will only result in more people illegally dumping trash around Ann Arbor. Exactly what a recycling station is supposed to prevent. So disappointing.

Rude, condescending employees. Their mission in life is to find people breaking the rules and to correct them in a nasty manner. This has happened to me several times. Today I took my paper shreds in a plastic bag (which has been the norm for years) only to find out that they changed the rules and shreds must now be in paper bags. Stupid me, for not reading the entire website to find out what's changed! Furthermore, the grounds are often a sea of mud, in which case you will need a car wash (including the interior) and have your shoes cleaned.

I just had the weirdest experience with this young girl at the box office... strangely shitty attitude. I was just trying to drop off a variety of recyclables and she was rudly questioning everything I had. Things I've dropped off many times before. First time having a problem with anyone here. I wound up leaving and will try again on a day she's not there I guess.
