A good place to have available! Their hours are convenient (open Mon.-Sat., 8 am to 4 pm); they accept plastic types 1, 2, & 5, as well as steel & aluminum cans, most types of paper, and some electronics. The staff are friendly and helpful, to boot! Warmly recommended.

This recycling center accepts: 1) Plastics #1 2) Plastics #2 3) Newspaper, coupons, and magazines 4) Office paper 5) Cardboard and paperboard 6) Aluminum cans All 6 categories have a corresponding stall, so your materials need to be separated accordingly (I separate them at home before arriving, but it only takes a few minutes to sort them at the center). There is no drop off fee They do not pay you for your aluminum cans They do !!!NOT!!! take: Scrap metal Glass Styrofoam Plastics #3-7 Appliances Shredded paper Tin foil Plastic bags Mattresses or household items Hours are Monday - Saturday 8:00am to 4:00pm Just recycled after the new signs were up and met the girls that work there. They gave me all of this helpful information and were very kind and informative!

Excellent facility for recycling....and a feather in Montevallo's cap to have this. Recent improvements have helped in the sorting. It would be nice to have areas for steel and glass but the limits are understandable. My only issues are not with the facility but with patrons not following the directions.
