Extremely disappointing experience with this dealership. A family member purchased a 2022 Volkswagen Jetta, and within less than two weeks multiple issues started appearing that should never happen with a vehicle that was just sold. The brakes began squeaking, the oil change light came on, and there were even moments where smoke was coming from the car. These are serious concerns and not something anyone expects almost immediately after purchasing a vehicle. Another issue was the condition of the vehicle when it was sold. The car was picked up at night, so it was harder to notice at the time, but once seen in daylight it was clear the vehicle had not even been properly detailed or prepared before being handed over to the buyer. For a dealership to deliver a vehicle like that shows a lack of care and professionalism. Out of concern for the vehicle’s condition, we took it to a mechanic who performed an oil change and documented issues that should have been addressed prior to the sale. When we brought this information back to the dealership, instead of taking responsibility or showing concern for the customer, the response was rude and dismissive. One of the staff members actually criticized us for getting the oil change elsewhere and repeatedly said we should have come back to the dealership. However, if the vehicle had been properly inspected and serviced before the sale, the oil light should not have been coming on so soon in the first place. They also refused to reimburse the cost of the oil change and showed no interest in resolving the situation in a fair or professional way. This entire experience felt dishonest and extremely unprofessional. When someone purchases a vehicle—especially a 2022 model—they expect basic quality control, proper preparation, and respectful customer service. Unfortunately, none of that was demonstrated here. We are now documenting everything and exploring our options through consumer protection channels if this issue is not addressed properly. If this dealership values its reputation and customers, it should reach out and make this situation right. Until then, buyers should be very cautious and make sure any vehicle purchased here is thoroughly inspected before leaving the lot.
