This is what a bait-and-switch looks like. In September 2025, I called Clark’s Scrap Metal to recycle metal from a large renovation. They told me to check their website for prices — and everything looked fine. A 30-yard dumpster cost $350, which they said would simply come out of the proceeds from the scrap. We loaded over 5,500 lbs of metal: copper pipes, wiring, cast iron — and they picked it up on September 27. Then silence. On October 14, I called to ask for an update and was told that none of the website pricing applies to anything placed in a dumpster. Instead, they pay $0.04 per pound, period — even for copper or wire worth dozens of times more. That policy appears nowhere on their website, and it’s the opposite of what I was told when I scheduled the pickup. Lacy’s explanation? “We wouldn’t make any money otherwise.” So, after doing everything right, we got paid pennies on the dollar. If Clark’s had just been honest, I would’ve delivered the metal myself. Instead, they hid the truth until after pickup. If you’re thinking about using them — don’t. Get your scrap weighed somewhere else where the numbers (and people) are honest.

The website that the ad on google brings you too is a medical drugstore website. Tried it a few times goes to same site. Just wanted to let you know..
