When I made the appointment at Porter's, I told the man I wanted my bearings and tie rods checked and asked about other services I wanted to have done. He told me I needed my alignment checked. I knew this wasn't the problem. The tires had been rotated and aligned before I had trouble with them. He didn't want to give me any prices for the work I asked about and just told me to bring it in. My appointment was for 8am. I got there a half hour early. The gentleman that checked my car in was very polite and considerate. I saw my name was the first one on the calendar for work to be done. The only thing the other man had written down was check the alignment. I told the guy that wasn't what I wanted done and about the conversation I had when the appointment was made. I needed the bearings and tie rods checked and wanted a tune up, coolant flush and a part ordered to fix my window. I had been told months prior what the cost would be to fix my window, but I had no money at the time. I asked him if anything could be done, because the man didn't give me any prices for the work I had asked about. He said that wasn't a problem. The parts could be ordered and they would be there by 11am if they had them in stock. I asked him to call me when he had the prices. At 1:30pm I was with a friend and we drove by the place while we were out. I saw my car sitting outside in the lot. I told her I wanted to stop in and check on my car. A different older man was there. He told me they hadn't looked at it yet. This was very strange! My car was on the rack and being looked at before my ride came that morning. I called at 4:00pm. I still hadn't heard from them and they closed at 5pm. I was told by the man I saw at 1:30pm they still hadn't looked at it. He said something about being busy and something else I couldn't make out, and that I could make an appointment. I told him I'd be up to get my car. When I got there I told him I had an appointment and was there early and what I had been told. No apology, handed me my key. I had had an inspection done there and oil changes. I was going to start doing my regular maintenance there too. I won't be back! Wasted an entire day! Inconvenienced multiple friends. And the old man could have told me at 1:30 he wasn't going to do anything that day. Very disappointing... If he had called me earlier in the day and said something like I only alloted time for an alignment, you need to make another appointment for what you want done, I would have understood.

Showed up to see about getting a tire fixed, not from the area just trying to get home, Older man with glasses was immediately rude and insulting upon arrival. Don't waste your time he doesn't like business and doesn't know how to appropriately get his point across.

1 hour into a 5 hour drive, the day after Christmas, we blew a tire. They were able to find us a used tire and put it on in less than 15 minutes and charged us next to nothing. Very thankful for G R Porter and Sons!
