Hector and all the guys at Rye Auto Care are THE BEST!! Not only do they do great work, they are very reasonable, and always take care of us asap! Over the past few years we have had all of our vehicles mechanical work done there - everything perfect, everytime!!

I had a terrible experience with Rye Auto Care and would not recommend them. While traveling to Boston for my daughter’s hockey tournament, our car broke down near Rye, NY. We managed to get the vehicle to Rye Auto Care, where they kept it for four days. During that time, we had to rent another car and continue our trip, trusting their assurance that the vehicle would be fixed. On our way home, we returned to Rye to pick up the car they said was repaired. Due to heavy holiday traffic, the shop had just closed when we arrived. After Enterprise dropped us off, I started the car and immediately noticed the check engine light was still on and the vehicle was still in limp mode. The car was undrivable over speeds of 30 mph and could not be driven for long distances—we never even made it out of their parking lot. At that point, the shop was closed and unresponsive, leaving me stranded in Rye/Port Chester, NY. We had no choice but to find a hotel for the night. Thankfully, a kind local police officer helped point us to Nissan City Service the next morning. Nissan diagnosed and fixed the issue in three hours, and we made it home safely with no further problems. To make matters worse, Hector at Rye Auto Care charged me about $1,000 for repairs that Nissan confirmed were unnecessary. When we called Rye Auto Care after they reopened, all Hector said was that he “did what he could.” Four days, $1,000, and the car was returned broken and unsafe to drive. This experience was extremely stressful and disappointing. I feel taken advantage of and left stranded after being told my car was “fixed.” Proceed with caution if you’re considering this shop.

Went in for a check engine light. Made an appointment and when I showed up they said I still had to wait for next availability. Waited one hour and when they finally looked at my car they came back in 5 minutes and said I needed to replace this & that and that my keys were in the car. I told the guy how much it would be to fix and the guy said they couldn’t do it today because they were too busy and it would take too long. I told them I needed my car fixed today and the guy just looked at me and said the keys were in the car. So I went to another shop and they fixed the car same day. These guys aren’t a serious shop. Avoid and don’t waste your time
