LIKELY SCAM. There is no 713 2nd St. in Brookings. This company charged $260 to Texas-based account and has very scammy answering services. The reviews on their website are plainly fake. Avoid at all costs. We did get a refund but it took some work.

I had planned on getting an early start and knocking out a few errands before the day got busy, but those plans changed pretty quickly. Walked outside near Medary Avenue, turned the key, and got absolutely nothing. After spending way too much time hoping one more try would somehow fix everything, I finally called Linus Towing and Recovery. The driver arrived quickly and immediately started checking things while explaining what he was doing. When he noticed I was stressed, he smiled and said vehicles seem to know exactly when people are running late. That simple comment actually helped more than he probably realized. Once the issue was figured out, I felt a lot less overwhelmed and ready to tackle the rest of my day.

Truck broke down just outside Brookings near I-29 while I was heading home after work, and with the wind whipping across the highway I was honestly preparing for a long night. Called Linus Towing and Recovery expecting it to take awhile since it was already getting late, but the driver showed up in about 30 minutes. Really friendly guy too first thing he did was ask if I wanted to sit in the warm truck while he hooked everything up because apparently I looked frozen. He handled the tow carefully, explained where he was taking the truck, and never made the situation feel more stressful than it already was. Pricing seemed fair, especially for an evening tow in cold weather. By the end of it, I went from frustrated and irritated to mostly just relieved someone actually made the whole process easy to deal with.
