We stopped at The Old Saloon on a whim because we were hungry, and it ended up being a great surprise. The waiter was very friendly and recommended the chicken fried steak, which was outstanding. We also ordered huevos rancheros, fish and chips, and the fried chicken with a spicy honey butter muffin. Every dish was flavorful and really well done. The saloon has a real country vibe and a lot of personality. The decor feels authentic, and the small details really stand out, including the funny “butt cheeks” photos in the bathrooms ?. Solid food, great service, and a place we’d happily stop at again.

A Hidden Gem in Emigrant! The Old Saloon is everything you hope to find when you stumble into a historic western bar, authentic, welcoming, and full of character. From the moment we walked in, we felt like locals. The staff was friendly and quick with a smile (and a strong pour!). We came for a drink and ended up staying for the live music, which was surprisingly top-notch. The vibe is laid-back but lively, with a perfect mix of old-school charm and Montana grit. The food hit the spot too, nothing fancy, just hearty and delicious. Whether you’re passing through or staying nearby, the Old Saloon is a must. It’s the kind of place you remember long after the trip is over. Can’t wait to come back!

Elk meatloaf was fantastic. The Salmon Fly beer was smooth. A must when in Paradise Valley.
