Been living in our Sprinter full time traveling 140K miles all over North America for the last 3 years. Vehicle maintenance is definitely the worst part of being a full-timer. Started hearing some grumbling in the front end while driving through Ontario. Dropped into upstate New York and called a dealer in Albany who said they couldn’t look at it for 2 weeks. Drove to Maine while the situation was obviously getting worse. Pulled into BA&TC on a Friday afternoon and spoke with Steven. He said they couldn’t look at it then, so we made an appointment for Monday morning – off to Moosehead Lake with fingers crossed. On Monday morning, their diagnostic revealed both front bearings gone and a brake job was needed all the way around. Parts arrived Wednesday afternoon as promised and they had us out Thursday afternoon. 2 stand-out things I also want to mention. They allowed us to store our boat in the yard while we waited for the parts, and when they performed the alignment (per Mercedes specs) they test drove it and determined there was too much “toe” so they improvised. The vehicle drives/tracks better and quieter than it ever has in the past. These guys really know what they are doing!

Really glad I found this shop. I first went to a different mechanic for a simple tire swap and was hit with a long list of supposed major issues — they told me my rocker panels and undercarriage were rusted through, said I needed a full exhaust replacement from the manifold back, and even suggested I start car shopping because it “wouldn’t pass inspection.” The kicker? I wasn’t even there for an inspection. That didn’t sit right with me, so I came here for a second opinion — and the difference was night and day. The team here was upfront, respectful, and didn’t try to upsell me on anything I didn’t actually need. They gave the car an honest assessment, replaced what truly needed fixing (some rusted clamps and exhaust work), and had everything wrapped up — including a legit inspection — the same day. They even lowered the quote slightly when one part ended up not needing to be replaced. Final cost? Under $500. That’s more than fair. It did take a bit to get in, but it was 100% worth the wait. This is the kind of place that values your time and money. I’ll definitely be coming back.
