The absolute worst customer service imaginable. No one cares, no one takes any time to explain, or give details of anything you need. You basically have to guess your way through a conversation. Ashley, should not be answering the phone, seems dead inside. one of the worst reps I've ever spoken to on the phone. Zero care. Also, my pick up appointment was scheduled for a day, which I waited ALL day. and called, and was told "oh they can't make it today, it will have to be tomorrow". WAS ANYONE GOING TO CALL ME? NO. I had to do it I can go on and on, but this company, is trash.

If I could leave a ZERO I would do so. I still have not heard from your company regarding the headrests that were taken out of my car. The front driver’s side tire was put on brand new the day before my accident, the other three tires were put on new two months before the accident. I said that to say this-you made money on parts because my vehicle was only damaged on the front driver’s side. I don’t understand why you had to steal my headrests. I’m a senior citizen and can’t really afford to replace them. I’m sending another picture of the one I got back. Osa Brown

DO NOT GO HERE EVER UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO TRASH YOUR CAR, STEAL ALL YOUR STUFF AND THEN LIE TO YOU ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!! My car got taken here after an accident I was in. When I showed up to get stuff out of my car, they completely trashed it. They threw everything my car into the trunk. Not placed, but THREW. I was eating sunflower seeds and had a cup of shells in my cup holder. They threw the cup with the shells in the trunk all over my clothes and designer shoes. I also had a spare tire in the back seat that is completely missing. They of course denied it and said no one would take it. According to other reviews, they often steal AND they’re an auction place so why not steal a tire? God help these people because I will sue for theft and property damage if they don’t return my tire and pay to clean my car. Customer service is trash. Just told me to talk to my insurance adjuster who has no part in this at all. I hate these people and this place please never come here

The absolute worst customer service ever experienced. Completely disorganized, incredibly rude and careless.

I was looking to give zero stars to this copart this is the worst place in all usa i never seen do no buy anything on this place who is mentioned run and drive or minor dent crashes because everything is a fake I bought the car with them in May 24 they said nothing wrong with this car i spent $10k on this car and the engine is completely damaged i email the general manager Stephanie since may she never answer my email I called couple time times all the time she's not in the office she's going to call me back but she never contacted me hope God will punished all you guys who work there and selling junk car to people and stealing money from us
- MMikey
They deleted my account even though I went out of my way to stop that. Changed my password, logged in, browsed some cars and still my account got deleted a week later.

If allowed , I would give them zero or negative start . I bought a vehicle from auction which state its runs and drive . I relied on their description hoping it would be honest description. Once car got delivered , It did not start so I had to replace a battery . After replacing battery , It did not move back and forth . nothing happened after pressing gas paddle , no movement . Talked to mechanic and suggested me to replace a transmission. Here I am after paying like 3900$ (approx . half of my yearly salary) . Talked to cashforcars and they are offering me 544$. I suggest to stay away from buying a vehicle without checking it in person. They did not mentioned anything about transmission damage in their listing . Also called them and they suggested me to send email to GM, sent an email to GM and here is a response I did get from them . " The vehicle is running in our pictures and the run/drive designation is determined at time of inventory. You are more than welcome to preview vehicles and have them started prior to placing bids to ensure you are confident with what you’d like to purchase. " Just hoping god will serve his justice when time comes .

Bought a vehicle for the first time from copart, got an email stating that after I paid I could come up and get the vehicle, they supplied a gate code to get in. Took off work, drove an hour with a trailer. I stand across the counter from a lady who never even acknowledged my existence for at least 5 min before being told it’s appointment only for pickup and that all appointments were booked for today. I showed her the email where it said to come get the truck, she didn’t care. Told me I have to register as a transporter with an entirely different app and then make an appointment. They charged me $1,500 in copart fees just to buy the truck and I can’t even get the correct pickup information in the email they send. Oh and if you don’t pick it up within 3 days you get storage charges, so since I wasn’t able to get an appointment on Friday now I’ll be charged storage over the weekend. What a terrible company to deal with.

Do NOT use this company for any business, they will refuse to help you and dodge your calls. We have been waiting for this company to come pick up four vehicles that were deemed totaled after the recent hailstorm. They have told us several times they would come pick up the cars and then not shown up. We have tried calling to ask why they haven’t come and they leave us on hold before just hanging up on us. After days of pestering them, they only picked up one of the cars and they have now essentially ghosted us and will not come for the last three. If I could give zero stars, I would. Never do business with this company if you actually want anything done.

I go to copart almost everyday. I’m from Houston Texas. I’m a transporter. I asked for the gate pass to be stamped for no title and they refused to give me the gate pass to show my customer that no title was given. Have yall ever heard no title no pay. Or proof that I wasn’t given a title . This new policy the lady in the front desk said went in effect a couple weeks ago. She had the gate pass in her hand and wouldn’t give to me, she rather throw it in the trash. As a transporter I don’t get paid by the hour I get paid by the vehicle and proof of what’s going on with the title. Please take this NEW policy of no paperwork given to driver we need proof of title was pending, mail etc…..

The worst copart location always makes load wait 1-3 hours and waste drivers times always.!!!
- ZZak Butterfield
It's insane that they don't protect and cover vehicle windows with wrap that have had the glass shattered out by hail. I've purchased vehicles from other states and they all will cover a shattered window with a plastic so it's not sitting in the elements for months while it waits to go to auction. Just purchased a 2023 vehicle with hail damage and it's been sitting since November with the entire back window gone and exposed to the weather.

I called this am to see if a vehicle was ready for pick up and I spoke to the rudist lady on the phone. She sounded as if I was a big inconveniance on getting information . We buy hundreds of vehicle s from Copart yearly and to be treated that way is terrible and unacceptable.

DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM THIS LOCATION!!!! IF I was able to leave no stars...I certainly would have. Rude, VERY RUDE gals inside!! I've never dealt with such horrible, nasty people! We waited almost 6 hours for 1 car. They did it on purpose because after calling on the radio to bring the car to us, and it not showing up, we went back inside to find out where it was. The blonde blew up and got really nasty! So wait we did...for another 3 hours!! I find it impossible to understand such contempt these gals have. We are ALL just doing a job. We treated you with kindness...we expect the same. If you hate people so much...get a different job!!!
- BBT Wilkes
They were nice and helpful as I saw my once nice Highlander one last time.
- VVeronica De La Rosa
Horrible customer service. Terrible communication. I haven’t even gotten my car. DO NOT BUY HERE.
- CConnor Vosburgh
Copart Austin has been great! I have bought several vehicles from them and they have always been kind and helpful. When a vehicle was damaged by the loaders, they let me refuse to take it, no problem because the damage was clearly not in the auction photos. The Copart Staff here are great! My only complaint is that the loader drivers are not careful at all. I saw a gorgeous late model Porsche sitting up front get its bumper mangled right in front of me. Pretty savage and careless work. Hence only 4 stars. People give Copart a bad review because they do not educate themselves on the pricing model and the process. Their services are not free, nor should they be. The fees are easily found and calculated for those who look. It is also a salvage auction- cars are there for a reason. Don’t be shocked when a car that looks great gets towed to your house and doesn’t run. It’s not Carvana. The cars are broken and need repairs of some variety. Run and Drive means the engine started and the car moved- not “road worthy.”
- WWendy Deleon
They need to hire more people and for sure lots more forklift drivers to take out these cars. I spent 4 hours waiting for 1 miserable car, i ended up leaving it was already 6p and was told i had 10 ahead of me, AND THEY STILL HAD THE NERVE TO CHARGE ME A STORAGE FEE . The day before i was there for 2 hours, staff just sits around when theres a line, some are friendly.

Much improvement has taken place recently and I would definitely recommend this place to the individuals that are tired of being ripped off by dealerships. I recently bought a 2011 Mustang from the Austin yard and it was as described and was a fast process. Kathy was very nice in helping me with paperwork and making it painless. I just wish Copart corporate would stop raising fees.
- CChloe V.
Horrible. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Then when you ask they tell you to "call member services". Member services will tell you to call the location you are dealing with. They are also horrible with paperwork. Make sure you double and triple check you documents and the fees you are being charged. DO NOT USE
- ZZach
Don't know much about this place, but I had to call in about an issue I'm facing with Copart's website and the two people I spoke to on the phone about my issue were extremely courteous and went out of their way to help. If the demeanor they present over the phone is the same level of energy and willingness to help in person, I can only imagine this place is great. Thanks to the Managers I spoke to, you guys were very helpful!

be skeptical - i had them box up my belongings since i could not drive to pick them up. they delivered a box of my things but, i noticed it was missing several items..a couple which were significant. i called and they said they'd re-check the vehicle for any more items..a couple days later i received 2 MORE BOXES of stuff!! what in the actual heck?!?! if i hadn't had called to ask my items i suppose they would have just been tossed? or do they go to all the employees? i was taken care of by a sweetheart of a lady the second time, but that doesn't excuse her employees initial actions. someone should be fired?
- SSDWDC
My car was unexpectedly deemed totaled after a deer collision and sold here by my ins. co. Copart sent me SOME of my stuff, but not all. And the loose stuff? Tossed in a box, almost all of it broken when I opened it. Ins once again contacted them, and they ignored it. I had to replace $53 worth of stuff because these clowns have zero customer service. A pox on all of them!
- MMichael Caufield
Won’t stop calling me. My insurance gave them my info and they text and call multiple times a day starting at 7am
- MMr P
I joined last night. Got my email stating: Great news: Your Copart Membership is now activated for bidding, which means that it’s time to search, bid, and win at Copart! I tried to bid and could not. I called Copart only to be told I can not bid on clean title running vehicles and have to have a broker. This was never explained when I joined. Very deceiving. So sad and pitiful.
- JJacob Guevara
Over 1 hour wait to get inside. Even though we made an appointment. And another 45min wait time for the vehicle to get pulled out. Really bad service, horrible staff. They only have 1 person in the office attending people. And 1 loder in the yard pulling out cars. Thats extremely under staff, those long wait time, Disappointing and frustrating !!!
- TTaylor Montgomery
Agree with another reviewer that they should call this Copart San Marcos or something because it's no where near Austin but I guess that's for marketing. Quite surprised about how strict they are on what you can see in the yard. Brought a list of the vehicles I wanted to inspect and the lady told me I could only go in the sale section. I've never encountered that at other Copart locations. And yes the mobile check in is a pain, but it's to keep everybody safe. Just deal with it people. Plan to spend extra time at any Copart location because of this.
- TTHAT guy
Easy enough process, the people at the front are friendly, but the list of stuff that was stolen out of my vehicle include my Toll tags & a small jar of quarters.. so far.
- GGarrett Reinhard
Extremely rude on the phone not willing to listen if it inconvenience them, also makes you feel like you don’t know anything
- JJW Hubler
I see a lot of these reviews are about things they don’t understand with copart in general - not this location. So no, an “On Approval” sale doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed to win, and yes vehicles with minimum bids require....... minimum bids aka they have a reserve. Anyways, bought a four wheeler at Copart Austin as a “Pure Sale” auction - process could not have been more convenient and quick. Pay online, show up and sign your title and get loaded. The people are great and very nice at the counter and the forklift (front end loader) operators are extremely skilled. Dude set my new quad in the bed of my fully loaded 2014 Cummins (don’t scratch the paint) perfectly-no issues. This place is great
