Recently got a call from a customer to come program a pcm they purchased from CSG. The car is a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser 2.4L HO Turbo. Upon arrival, I verified VIN number in the used pcm. VIN number showed the pcm was out of a 2004 PT Cruiser Non Turbo vehicle. I also varified the Calibration in the used PCM was in fact a 2004 non turbo calibration. Calibration verification is done by a Flash Availability file provided by Chrysler. 2005 PT Cruiser Turbo is 2005 only for a PCM. The calibrations for each PCMs are not even in the same year or bracket on the Flash Availability file. completely different.<br><br>So here's more bad news. The Junkyard wrote on the tag of the PCM they sold the customer '2005 PT Cruiser 2.4 Turbo. Also, the Junkyard sold the customer this "2005" PCM for $375 when in fact, its not worth any more than $75 as its not the correct pcm for the car. Customer called the Junkyard about my findings. The Junkyard told the customer that the pcm is plug and play (which it isn't) and to bring the car up to them and they will have the car up and running in under 15 minutes as a reflash is not necessary.<br><br>So what they're doing is, writing the vin number in the pcm for the 05 to satisfy the theft system, and sending the customers on their way with a pcm that's completely the wrong calibration file needed for their car. How does changing a vin number change the calibration programmed in the pcm for a non turbo vehicle to now a calibration for an 05 Turbo vehicle? it doesn't. This Junkyard is robbing people and committing fraud. be very, very wary.

Very unprofessional business practices towards vendors, one of my sales people communicated to the company a brokered part (within warranty) was defective, my customer brought it back a few days after warranty expired so we can return the item to them, they refused to take the item back even knowing they where contacted within warranty. On top of that when I asked about a refund they said they do not supply refunds only store credits, which alone is absolutely a terrible business practice. unless they decide to make this right we will not be doing business with this company no more and I really hope they change their business practices because this really causes a bad look on our industry, and I want customers to know this is not how reputable salvage facilities operate so please do not loose faith in our industry if you have a bad experience with these people!

Wouldn't give my core charge back on my 2005 pt cruiser PCM which they sold us wrong part and a bad part guy has a shitty personality he is a crook he committed fraud by putting a tag on part claiming it is off a 2005 pt cruiser turbo but in reality it's off a 2004 non turbo pt cruiser I'm in talks with authority now about pressing fraud charges
