My first time here very good staff if you pick up here for batteries, you can enter second gate over there have a scale you can enter their to scale and check in to the office. I’m here they give right away dock but other side the building I share photo I hope this photo help you a lot easy to back in the dock little tricky, but not hard to back to the dock I check in here 10 o’clock and check out 1045. If they loaded you, you can again go to the scale, and after they give you paperwork

They have a lot of new restrictions with river metals being the new owner but is still same old garden st.

Pretty alright spot to go if you set up a personal/business account- benefit with better pricing. Staff is friendly, indoor drive-in lines not usually bad. Pretty cool directions on how-to/where to go for first time scrappers on their website. These places can be confusing & intimidating for first timers. Great location, 2 minutes off 75

Keeping it clean. Workers are cool and helpful. Prices are as good or better than anywhere around. You'll run into long lines but it goes quick. There is no processing in the parking lot.

They literally half price compared to Vega metals. This company is no good trying to control all the metals around here so then your forced to take the weak pay they give you.

First time visiting and this, I have dealt with my local scrap dealer for years and NEVER picked up anything, other than that they were nice folks though, paid the fair rate on scrap. Sweep your lot guys.

Great! Great! Great! Lady at the big scale window, and couldn't ask for better people in the yard either. The only guy that needs to work on his customer service skills is the guy with glasses @small scale.

Been going to Garden Street for 20 years. They always pay more for common scrap like steel and copper. Its quick and easy to unload. The people are very nice. No BS like at other yards (CROOKhens of Hamilton). They are out in the country a bit. Always enjoy the drive to thier facility. I highly recommend them.

Convenient and usually faster than the others. But 1 star removed for the attitude that certain workers have towards customers every time we've been there and we go there daily usually multiple times a day. So at this point the know us as well as we know them and the rules. So I can't see any reason for the constant treatment of people that are new or have a reason to be not trusted to follow the rules.

The lady behind the cashier is very rude and disrespectful. The tell you in the back you are getting $140 a ton for scrap cars and pay you $120 when your up front. Very bad experience. I recommend you go to Phipps Auto parts to sell junk cars and get paid fair. Have a great day.

I have been to this center numerous times, idk why I go back besides convenience.. the operator was very unprofessional and seemed to be more interested in his phone than he was doing his job, lots of missing scrap weight, things weighed under what I weighed at home, idk how 34 pounds of copper tubing turned into 12 pounds..I have had scrap weighed at home only to find out the scale at the recycling center had an "issue" which cost me 8 pounds of brass, 16 pounds of clean stainless 17 pounds of copper tubing and approximately 23 pounds of wiring. I guess they make their own weight depending on the operator. Somehow my brass was weighed wrong and my stainless wasn't added at all. Now those few bucks add up! I will NOT be returning.

the guy working there told me compressors have no copper in them and would only pay me base lowest metal prices for electric motors and compressors. liars. i suspect they screw people on the weight due to their general dishonesty so weigh your metals before taking them. they pay $20 for a catalytic converter that you could sell online for 3-6x as much. they take advantage of sellers' ignorance of values. guess some people would call that smart capitalism but i think a fair and honest operation would make the world a better place.

I used to go to another scrap place. River City is the best IMO. Professional & great facilities. I've seen some inconsistencies in little stuff like "clean stainless," buy they didnt lowball my on my cat converter...I was PLEASANTLY surprised how much i got for a scrap Lumina. Best steel weight prices for junk cars, and no complaining about missing Cats, wires...batteries. And you get a nice itemized receipt that you redeem at a cash machine. Central location, well worth a little extra drive, by highway! Great Place. I think some of these negative reviews just got got metals confused. For example, a lot of motor coiling wire is aluminum, but copper colored. The above poster said there is copper in a compressors, NOT TRUE. Plus they're a pain to dissect.

Brought in a bucket of copper, they told me it was a bucket of brass because it had a very thin piece of plastic on it. That is ridiculous. I was only paid half of what it should’ve gotten. Also they helped themselves to the bucket I brought it in. I’ve been going to this location for a few years now, unfortunately I’m going to have to find someplace else. Not recommended.

Good place but when your scrapping always think that your gonna get 1/3 of what you really have cause sometimes you dont get much but sometimes you cash in alot more then what you thought. That why you will never be disappointed.

I would like to give it five stars but for the first time I had a bad experience today when the lady I guess that is new there I've never seen argued with us and told us we were wrong but when we got a supervisor and people that have been there a while they told us that we were right but she still try to continue to argue with us that we were wrong so we had to get older employees and supervisor to correct the new lady that was telling us we were wrong in the garage so this was probably my worst experience here today or I would give it five stars all employees need to know the same thing and be taught the same thing in the garage so that I don't have to personally go out of my way to get an employee that's been there longer or supervisor to come in the building and correct them I shouldn't have to find somebody to correct the new employee and tell them how to do their job and what to take and how to take it.
