I was referred to Northlake Auto recycling by a Michigan used auto parts store when they found the part I needed on car-parts.com. I called and spoke to Paul. He said he would have the Chrysler 300 screen pulled, and if I drive the 80 miles, I can test it in my car to make sure it worked before buying it. He called me the next morning and sent a photo to show its condition. I decided to make the drive since it is hard to find one that is not fully delaminated. Before and during the sale, Paul wanted to be sure I could do as much testing as possible to not have to drive back from Michigan. Upon arrival, this is the best business sales floor I have ever seen! It is REMARKABLE! The entire office is tactfully decorated with unique antiques, collector items, AND it is super clean! I noticed ALL employees were very friendly, knowledgeable, and just like Paul, went out of their way to help me! I was able to test the radio, received help on how to access the security code, and even borrowed a screwdriver to finish the install. While waiting for the security code, I appreciated hearing the employees speak in English and Spanish to help all the customers coming in. I 100% will refer people to this auto recycle business. Salesman was rude and seemed sort of ignorant. According to the website I looked at, they had multiple vehicles of different years that have the part I need. So I gave him the year range that had that part, and he interrupted me with a rude tone asking what year mine was. Could've just put any year in the range I gave him. Then asks my location, then says "And you're willing to drive down and get it?" Yes. It's a bumper for a 10 year old vehicle, why would I pay more for the shipping than the bumper? Guy seemed like he might not know what he's doing, which would be fine if he hadn't interrupted me with a rude tone. From the other reviews, I see that multiple people have had problems with a rude salesman. If one person says a guy is rude, maybe it's a bad interaction. If 5 people say a guy is rude, the guy is probably rude. REPLY: Yes, I have reviewed 8 places total. 4 of which mentioned rude people, yours and 3 other businesses. Please go and look at any of the other 3s one star reviews. They look a lot like yours, with plenty of other people calling out rudeness. I see your employees get it honest. I tell people of good places by word of mouth, and business cards. I show my appreciation at the time of good service with tips. No one is reading through 5 star reviews on Google, they read the 1 stars to know if they should avoid doing business with them. I personally wouldn't have even called you if I had googled you and looked at the reviews, but I didn't. I got your number directly from a website. Also, absolutely hilarious the the "owner" has enough time to troll through reviewers other reviews. You must be an absolute joy to work for.

Great customer service. We were in and out and they even gave my grandfather a police discount even though they didn't have to. The rim we got was "used" but basically brand new and they cleaned it before giving it to us which was appreciated.

I am very happy that NAR an engine I needed for a customer here in Fort Wayne. It was a 3 hour drive but it was worth it. The engine was in great shape with only 83,000 miles on it and it looked as though it had been cleaned up when it was pulled. I truly appreciate that the main wire harness and the pigtails were all intact and in great condition. The engine was loaded into the shop truck by a very nice NAR employee who assisted with getting it secured for the 3 hour trip home. I have never seen a better maintained, clean, organized and professional salvage yard in my life! My only complaint is that I wish they were closer to me! Thanks NAR!

So I left Pick-n-pull, they no longer had my switch that I wanted, but I would have had to go out and pull it myself in this freaking heat. Today was 93F & 53% humidity. The part would have cost me $63. So thankfully they didn't have it. On my way to another yard, I saw this place and stopped to see what they had. I went into the AC place and told the clerk what I was looking for. He typed it into the computer, let for about 7 minutes and came back with the exact switch I needed. It was $36 out the door! So quicker, easier, and cheeper! They don't have everything I need because I have an older vehicle, but they do have good stuff.

Great employees who work for (NAR) It’s very rare to have such caring employees such as Dave and his father . Today I was stranded because my car battery went dead. Dave & his father were very busy but came over to try to get my car started. Unfortunately I had a cable that was not strong enough to jump my car. Eventually I got my car to the dealer and bought a heavy duty jumper cable. Thank you Dave & his father! 😇 Northland Auto Recyclers you have two wonderful employees! 🙏😇

Picked up 2012 Ford Focus mirror assembly earlier today and it was in perfect condition. The customer service was fantastic too and Brian was a huge help. He was very knowledgeable on the parts and answered every question I had. They also had great prices and a awesome location. Clean and professional facility, but more importantly is how a business handles things for the customer when something goes all wrong. Drove 8 hours to get a pick up bed represented as a perfect bolt on bed in color. I left with a bed that had damage on the passenger front corner and a damaged tailgate after the forklift driver damaged it. I now have to paint 2/3 of a bed as well as replace $300 worth of emblems and stickers. I could have purchased that 8 minutes away. The salesperson indicated that it was more important that they do not lose money on the part then to discount accordingly for the customer. They discounted $200 and the owner gave me $100 after the forklift damaged. It will be close to $1,000 worth of repairs by the time I actually have the bed that I was told I was picking up. Very clean, efficient and professional facility. The staff seemed professional and friendly as well. The forklift driver was very apologetic and stated that if he had the money he would pay for it out of his own pocket. This review simply reflects my experience with this business when things didn't go so right. It seems to be mostly my problem to absorb.

Northlake has by far the highest quality recycled parts around. They also have a wide selection of OE Overstock and New Aftermarket parts as well. Any time I need parts for any of my personal vehicles they are the ones I call! Northlake auto recyclers is by far the neatest, cleanest,friendliness most organized recycling yard I have ever been to and I have been to many yards.this place is amazing and usually they have just about everything you need. From new common parts like engine cradles and sub frames to low mileage clean used parts. My shop is 100 miles from Northlake and if I get in a pinch and can't wait for shipping or the part is to large I just run up and get it.

My fault : I intended to buy all season tires but did not specify. I was looking for 2 used good tires hard to find size even new. They hooked me up with high quality Good Year tires even though they are snow tires, it is February and still around 30°- 40°. I needed them fast for I was driving on balled tires. Great price and helped me in a pinch. Thank you, I will be back.
