While hauling two horses and a ton of gear home from Fairbanks, I shredded a trailer tire. I limped into the Napa parking lot in Delta and started digging around for the tools I needed most of which I either did not have with me or were super buried. I went into the Napa store to see if they had a floor jack to rent and was rewarded with an employee who called her Dad to help me change the tire (which had seized on lug nuts). While parked out front with my horses tied to a couple of trees, I experienced unparalleled small town community assistance. While one gentleman from Napa called other local businesses to see if anyone had a 6 lug trailer tire for sale, folks stopped by to pet the horses and see if they could help. I was set on my way with a loaner tire for a spare the Napa owner took off his own trailer and the instructions to just drop it off the next time I drove through town. I can not recommend this store enough. Who wouldn't want to support a store so willing to use their community connections to get a weary traveler back on the road. I made it home safely thanks to these good folks.
