I've been going there for years, good vibes, great people and I always leave with more than I expected. I even had an experience one time that highlighted their eagerness to serve, problem solving with effectiveness and efficiency while still be aware enough to not damage your property. I once took my truck and trailer with a car on it admittedly overloaded. I made it about 3/4 of the way up the hill and slid backwards down to the bottom. Though I did have to walk a little bit, as soon as I let someone know I was stuck and needed help getting up to the top they said they'd send someone down. Before making it halfway down the hill the bobcat was already next to me, they were even thinking ahead enough to let me know they were going to push on the car not the trailer to avoid damage. Another time their systems went down (out of their control) and I had to wait till Monday to get my ticket cashed, not only did they still honor it and give me a little bit extra for the hassle they gave me a free shirt. It truly was a single freak event that never reoccurred. I've went to a bunch of different scrap yards to do business over the years but Perry county's definitely my number one go to. The only downside is the short time they're open every day, but like I said they're effective AND efficient. I will always highly recommend everyone whether I know them or not. Just don't try to take advantage of them. they got memories like an elephant they never forget and you'll have an entirely different experience than I do.
