From a community impact standpoint, I’ve noticed very heavy industrial activity around their site. On multiple occasions, I’ve seen large amounts of smoke coming from their area and I’ve also noticed strong chemical and burning-type odors in the air. In my experience, it hasn’t smelled like something small or contained — it’s felt like a lot of material being burned, enough that the air quality in the immediate area changes.<br><br>There are also noticeable welding operations happening outdoors. When that’s going on, I’ve smelled the welding fumes and metal/chemical smell drifting beyond the property line. At times, the air has been irritating to breathe and has caused throat and eye discomfort for me when I’ve been nearby. That’s been concerning from a health and safety standpoint, especially for people who live, work, or have kids in the area.<br><br>My personal impression is that there doesn’t seem to be much effort to control or contain the smoke or fumes so they don’t spread into the neighborhood. I understand it’s an industrial business, and fabrication/steel work isn’t “clean,” but I think there’s a difference between normal industrial activity and the level of smoke and odor that I’ve personally experienced downwind of this location.<br><br>Because of that, my overall opinion is negative. I’m worried about what’s being released into the air and what long-term exposure might mean for people nearby. I’d like to see stronger controls, better filtration, and more accountability around what’s being burned and what’s going into the air, especially in a community setting and not out in the middle of nowhere.<br><br>If you’re considering doing business with them, I would just suggest being aware of these concerns.
