Just moved to Durham from out of state, and my truck breaks down first week—talk about bad luck. I'd been burned by shady tow companies before, so I was wary. But Durham Towing was a breath of fresh air: upfront quote over the phone, no hidden fees, and the tech actually fixed a loose wire on the spot instead of forcing a full tow. Saved me time and money. 5/5 on google from me.

I called for a tow truck on Wednesday morning 11-13-24 and was advised by the dispatcher that someone would call me back. I asked how long do you think it might take for a return call and I was told “ shortly”. I waited about 30-40 minutes and I called back asking for an update. I was told again by the same dispatcher” let me tell him to call you” . Once again no call. I decided to call a competitor. This competitor’s dispatcher took my information and after a short time on hold I was told “ in about 30 minutes I’ll get someone to you” within those 30 minutes the tow truck arrived. It was a little more expensive but I received the service I was expecting and managed to get my vehicle to the shop so I can get my car back the same day. Right now as I am writing this it’s already 5PM and I never received the return call from Durham Towing company.

Needed a car towed for an early service appointment. Was told 45-60 minutes; hour and a half later had to call to ask for an update then a little while after that was called back and told the truck broke down. Would have been nice to get an update earlier (without me having to follow up) so I could have started making other arrangements.
