It took 4 calls to AAA to get Jans to replace a battery under warranty that they sold me less than 1 year ago. Their dispatcher and driver told me that it was not covered under warranty even though I showed them the receipt from when I bought it from them less than a year ago. It took me conferencing in AAA to get them to cover the battery. What makes it worse is that they forced me to pay them to install the battery. Despite the fact that on the second call they convinced me that there was nothing wrong with the battery, which caused me to get my car towed to the mechanic, pay for diagnostic services, only to find out it was the battery. My mechanic had everything ready to drop the battery in, but Jans demanded that in order to get my warrantied battery I MUST pay $100 for install. They said that it was due to a labor intensive install. But the air filter housing was already removed and all they had to do was drop the battery in and tighten the connection.<br><br>If I could give negative stars I would. The sticker they have on their vans stating that there is a 3 year warranty on batteries is only true if AAA will get on the phone and force them, and then they will charge you the price of a new battery in installation. Rip off. Avoid at all costs.<br><br>Edit to add: it took the driver 8 minutes to do the labor intensive install. So they charge $750 an hour to install batteries. Just do it yourself or go to a mechanic.

Barry was such a professional and gave us great customer service. Me and my family had our car die waaaay up in the mountains, and he was there way faster than we had expected. 10/10 would happily get our car towed away by him again.
