I cannot believe it was free to recycle our old halogen lights. Yay to our awesome cities for allowing residents this service!<br><br>You can also get free cleaning products, paints, stains, etc. that people donated but are still usable. There is a little store set up on the left when you walk in and it's all free!! Recycling of materials at the BCHMMF is free for residents of Boulder, Broomfield, and (I believe) Erie.<br><br>The flyer in the photos covers the details on 5 local recycle centers.

Interesting experience . . . I had a single, small rechargeable battery to drop off. I had come the day before (Tuesday-it was a holiday) but they were closed. I stuck my head in the door, waited my turn to be 'served' only to have myself literally yelled at for not using a cart for my 10 oz battery. I was trying to find out how the system worked. For those looking it was Wednesday, 1/21, at 1:20 PM. I had missed the fine print on the sign outside . . . The guy was so rude, I mentioned it to him. He needs to realize that he's accepting used batteries and household cleaners. He's a human-being and deserves respectful treatment. He needs to earn it.<br><br>It appears that he may have had run-ins with others based on previous reviews.<br><br>By the way, I drove 14 miles, round-trip twice, for this pleasant treatment.<br><br>Oh, and someone needs to at realize that most mortals clean out their garages on the weekend, it might be helpful to be open Mondays and maybe close on a Tuesday or Wednesday. That way, this obviously suffering employee might have the day off . . .

Usually an awesome place to pick up paint but apparently bad luck of the draw and some power tripping volunteer/employee needed to go off on a lecture before I can pick up paint?! Not hard to figure out why throwing it on the trash is easier when you have to deal with self riotous bros.
