My experience with Adesa Des Moines has been consistently disappointing due to serious issues in leadership, communication, and workplace culture. It’s no surprise that dealers are choosing to take their business elsewhere — the environment behind the scenes is chaotic, mismanaged, and lacking in accountability. Stumm and Brian seem far more focused on internal drama than running a functional, dealer-friendly operation. The safety manager, in particular, creates unnecessary tension with an aggressive, unprofessional approach that hurts morale instead of helping safety. And Gary constantly clashes with the lot crew, creating ongoing friction and frustration rather than promoting any sense of teamwork. What’s even worse is that excellent employees — the ones who actually keep the place running — end up pushed out, while the individuals causing problems remain protected. Hearing that one of the most dependable, hardworking people was let go says everything about the priorities here. Adesa Des Moines has the potential to be a great operation, but until leadership issues are addressed and the toxic behavior at the top is dealt with, the problems will only continue and more business will be lost.

Made an appointment to come pick up my car over the phone on Monday to come on Wednesday. I told them I lived 2 hours away and drove all the way there on Wednesday to find out they were CLOSED through a written note on the door. There wasn't anything online about them being closed nor did their phone lines say so. Now I have to move my whole life around again to come get it.
